Kyoto Yamazaki Whisky & Asahi Beer Oyamazaki Half-Day Small Group Tour

Our guide Aya is the best! There's so many small nuggets of interesting information that I wouldn't have known. It made the tour more enjoyable. The whiskey tasting was a good way to try the bottles we were so curious about.

Our guide Yuri was amazing and made this tour all the more enjoyable!! She truly got to know each group on the tour and tailored her recommendations and conversation. She also had plenty of knowledge about the area and both tour spots, which was very fun. The meet up point was clear and close to the museum and Suntory. Both locations are incredible, but I do wish we overall had more time in each place. The walk to the museum is up a very steep hill so just be prepared for that, though the walk is short. Suntory was a beautiful spot and the tasting just made it that much better. We even got little gift bags at the end! ☺️ Highly recommend this tour, especially if you missed out on the lottery for Suntory!

We had a great experience on the Asahi museum and Yamazaki Distillery tour with our guide Woohee. She was friendly, knowledgeable and full of interesting stories about the villa and its collections, which made the visit really enjoyable. The rooms and gardens are full of character and a pleasure to explore. The distillery tour was just as good. Woohee’s passion and knowledge really brought the history of the distillery to life, and the whisky tasting was relaxed and really enjoyable. It was a fantastic day and we’d highly recommend this tour to others

The Yamazaki Whisky Museum & Asahi Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art Half-Day Whiskey Tour was absolutely phenomenal! The directions to the meeting point were clear and easy, right outside Yamazaki Station (Main Exit), just a short walk from the distillery. Our guide was already there waiting, super friendly and welcoming, and even offered us bottled water and later-on a gift bag, which was such a thoughtful touch. The tour itself was incredible. We learned so much about the history and craftsmanship behind Yamazaki whisky, explored the beautiful Whisky Museum, and enjoyed an amazing tasting session. The visit to the Oyamazaki Asahi Villa Museum of Art was a perfect addition, stunning views, peaceful gardens, and fascinating art. Our guide made the whole experience fun, informative, and seamless from start to finish. Even help helped our trip back shorter and pointed us to the express train. If you love whisky or Japanese culture, this tour is a must-do! 🥃✨

The guide was very friendly and explained everything in great detail, speaking very good English! She made the already incredible experience of visiting the asahi museum and the yamazaki distillery that much more enjoyable, taking the group on a walk around the beautiful area in-between the 2 tours.

I was able to see the guide on time at Yamazaki Station and handed out a bottle of drink. The Asahi Museum of Art was able to make a modern house like this about 100 years ago, and it was good to see art. The best thing was the Yamazaki Distillery Tour, which was good for explaining and giving me gifts.

Our wonderful host welcomed us warmly at the Yamazaki Station, incl. a free bottle of cold water. Very mindful. She answered all kinds of questions and explained everything about the visiting sites, organized all tickets and even a small present at the Suntory Destillery for all of us. The tour over all is definitely recommendable. The art museum is a beautiful location, even when your not into arts, you can enjoy the beautiful garten and a cafe. The Suntory Museum speaks for itself as well as the tasting and the gift shop. we enjoyed it a lot! Thank you very much!

We had a wonderful day with our English speaking guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and funny! The Asahi Art Museum was absolutely stunning and much more enjoyable than expected (be warned though - it’s a bit of a hike up a hill to get there!). The whisky distillery museum was a little bit of a whirlwind but we were all pretty keen to get tasting. A very enjoyable day - thank you!

What an amazing day at Yamazaki. We had a great tour guide who was knowledgeable, informative and funny. She spoke great English and made the tour interesting. Highly recommend this tour for all whisky lovers. Another bucket list item ticked for me.
