What to expect
Go on a fun adventure on this one-day tour of Siem Reap that takes you to some of the temples furthest from the city, Koh Ker and Beng Mealea. Choose between a join in or a private tour depending on your personal preference. On the day of the tour, start off with a pick up at your hotel, immediately followed by departure to the first stop of the tour, Beng Mealea Temple. Located a couple of hours northeast of Siem Reap, it is one of the most mysterious temples as it has been consumed by the jungle. However, some of the dense forest has been cut back, allowing visitors to explore it and see chiseled sandstone blocks, impressive wall carvings and maybe even a peek at the well-preserved library of the collapsed central tower. You'll then make your way to Koh Ker, a complex of temples abandoned to the forests of the north that was once the capital of the Angkorian empire from AD 928 to AD 944. Walk around and inspect the detailed stone carvings, doorposts and slender window columns of Prasat Krahom and climb the stairs of Prasat Thom for a spectacular view of the entire area. Reenergize yourself after half a day's worth of travel and exploration with a lunch at your own expense, where you can enjoy a variety of traditional Cambodian cuisine, right before you head back to your hotel.

Reviews
Fantastic tour that takes you a bit off the beaten path and includes some real hidden gems! of course Beng Mealea and Koh Ker are popular for good reason but we were the only ones at a couple of the temples we stopped at near Koh Ker, and the guide made excellent selections! One of them is better than Ta Prohm for trees growing on temples. our guide was Nara and he super knowledgeable and very relaxed. I was traveling alone and the group tour only included two other people, and I felt very comfortable. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed our tour to Koh Ker and Beng Mealea. The main pyramid at Koh Ker (Prasat Thom) was impressive, and climbing to the top offered a panoramic view of the greenery. We also explored smaller temples like Pram and Krahom. What made Koh Ker special was the lack of crowds, allowing us to enjoy the sites peacefully. Beng Mealea was equally fascinating, with its temples beautifully overtaken by trees and roots, creating a wild atmosphere. Our guide, Phyrom, is knowledgeable about Cambodian history and expertly led us to the best photo spots, even helping us capture great pictures.
Group Size: 2 people Guide: Hen Chenda Tour Schedule: This was our first time booking a tour in Cambodia! Our guide, Chenda, was incredibly friendly, and the driver was also very kind ☺️. They were both excellent at taking photos and videos; I thought they were professional photographers! ✨ Break: During our breaks, they provided cold towels and water twice, which made us comfortable despite the heat. Thank you so much! 🫶🏻
really a good deal. the tourguide - Mr Sopheap - was extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable. we booked this trip expecting to see temples but we returned with a better experience: we learned history, culture, and fun facts about the temples. if you have the chance to book this, do not miss out! highly recommended tour and tourguide!!!
Koh Ker and Beng Mealea are the best, to be honest. It was better than Angkor Wat, which I went to the day before. I was moved by the quiet and mysterious pyramids of Koh Ker and the other temples scattered around. The driver was kind, the guide was knowledgeable, and I think it was good value for money to travel in an air-conditioned car for this price. If you go to Siem Reap, please consider this tour in addition to the Angkor Wat area. You can't go wrong.
I highly recommend the Beng Mealea and Koh Ker tour with Siem Reap Shuttle! Our guide, PHYROM, was exceptional. During the first part of the journey, he used a map to brilliantly explain the entire history of the Khmer Empire, the chronological shifts of the capitals, and how they related to the temples we were about to visit. It gave us the perfect context before we even arrived. Even when we encountered an unexpected car issue along the way, both PHYROM and the driver handled it professionally and did their absolute best to resolve it quickly so our trip wouldn't be disrupted. On top of that, PHYROM was incredibly thoughtful—he always knew the best spots for photos and helped us capture wonderful memories. 5 stars for the amazing service and experience!
Our guide, Phyrom, was very enthusiastic. On the way to Koh Ker, he introduced us to the history of Cambodia, linking the historical context of all the ancient sites and the similarities in architectural techniques. This made for a perfect ending to my trip to Angkor. Phyrom is a passionate guide. His descriptions of the scenery are vivid, he manages time well, making the experience feel relaxed, and he takes great photos. Thank you very much.
The Koh Ker trip with tour guide Phyrom was enjoyable. Thanks to the guide's extensive knowledge of the ruins, I was able to imagine and draw the past. Guide Phyrom took great pictures with a photographer-like sensibility. I hope that Koh Ker ruins, which were designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites last year, will be loved by many tourists and well-maintained.
Our guide, Phyrom, was very knowledgeable and explained the flow of Cambodian history in detail on the way. He also knew good photo spots and took many great pictures for us. Our driver, Caen, was incredibly attentive, running to open the door for me every time I got in and out of the car. I was very satisfied with my last trip in Cambodia, getting to see all of the Koh Ker temple complex. I highly recommend the Koh Ker ruins if you have time!
Tour Guide: John, Driver Rum Group Size: 3 Itinerary: Beng Mealea, Koh Ker Temple, a very perfect itinerary. The tour guide explained things very well, and the driver's service was also very polite.
