What to expect

The Kyoto - Nara day trip was a great way to see some of the highlights in both cities. Yuki-San, our guide, was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. It was very cool to be able to walk inside the Nijo-Jo castle and take pictures of the “golden pavilion”. The Nara deer are a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you have to see to believe as they come right up to you expecting a treat!
Our tour guide, Yuki, was excellent. She explained the cultural and historical details at all of the sights that we saw. I felt like we were on tour. She met all our expectations. This tour also included a western lunch. It was convenient to have a preset menu for time sake. Overall, , I would highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide was warm, friendly and very funny. We loved the day, so far the best part of our visit to Japan. Highly recommend, would do it again.

Insider Tips:
- Look out for the Buddha hole in a supporting post of Todai-ji Temple. The hole is said to be the same size as one of the Buddha's nostrils. Crawl through it and legend says that you will receive enlightenment in your next life!
