The Laojun Mountain

• Laojun Mountain is the core area of Funiu Mountain Global Geopark and a national 5A-level tourist attraction.
• The mountains are majestic and beautiful, with the Zhongding Sea of Clouds being the foremost among Laojun Mountain's cloud seas.
• Laojun Mountain has an elevation of 2217 meters, is the main peak of the 800-li Funiu Mountain range, with majestic mountains and competing peaks.
• The Taoist temples on the mountain top have a long history and profound culture, and are known as the "North and South Two Peaks" along with Wudang Mountain.

Luoyang Laojun Mountain Scenic Area is a national 5A-level scenic area. It was approved by the state in 1997 to establish a national nature reserve, and is a Global Geopark and National Geopark of Funiu Mountain. Luoyang Laojun Mountain is located in Luanchuan County, Luoyang City, 120 kilometers from Luoyang City, with a touring area of 26.7 square kilometers. Originally named Jingshi Mountain, it is the main peak of the 800-li Funiu Mountain range, a remnant of the Qinling Mountains, with an elevation of 2200 meters. Later, due to Li Er, the "Keeper of the Royal Archives" during the Western Zhou Dynasty, retiring here to cultivate, and being renamed "Laojun Mountain" by Emperor Taizong of Tang, it has been known by this name ever since. Temples were built to commemorate him during the Northern Wei Dynasty, and the Iron Top Laojun Temple was built under imperial decree during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty.
