Oslob Whale Shark Snorkeling and Badian Canyoneering Water Adventure

Kuya Daniel, our driver, was incredibly kind, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile. He was easy to talk to, fun to joke with, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trip. As first-timers, we really enjoyed swimming with the whale sharks in Oslob. We appreciated that Kuya Daniel suggested doing the activity before breakfast since we arrived early. One small suggestion: it would have been helpful if the guide (don’t know the name) had recommended bringing or renting snorkeling gear. Goggles were provided, but snorkeling gear would have made it much easier to fully enjoy seeing the whale sharks underwater. The canyoneering tour was the highlight! Kuya Joel and Ate Dy were amazing — friendly, attentive, and always prioritized our safety. Ate Dy captured so many great photos and videos, while Kuya Joel encouraged me to conquer my fear and even jumped with me twice! Highly recommend this wonderful team!

Sleep deprivation is for sure worth it! The wait for the whale shark wasn't too bad and too long. People were queuing with discipline. The centre opened at 6am while we managed to get on the boat at 630am, really not bad. Whale shark watching is definitely a life experience. It was absolutely beautiful! Whale sharks were swimming in the shallow coast foraging and being fed only in the early morning, thats why the tour must be crazily early. Our boat tourists were again disciplined keeping distance to appreciate this creature. Moving on to the canyoneering, the two guides were absolutely amazing! Very caring and friendly. They tried their best to show the beauty of the landscape and guide us step by step even it's slippery and bumpy. Whole experience was fun and safe. Every jump was fun and encouraging, it was never be pushy or having any negative feeling. Guides would brief before every jump and demonstrated. With additional php60 per person,you could enjoy a zipline experience, so why not? Just thankful for such an unforgettable memory. Highly recommend!!!

Whale shark numbers are distributed at 5 o'clock, so we departed at 2 o'clock and arrived around 4:10, and saw it for the second time on the tour that started at 6 o'clock for 30 minutes. You can rent a GoPro for 550 paso, and if you show the GoPro to the boatman, he will carefully take pictures of you with the gora shark for 30 minutes. Badian canyoneering costs 600 paso per person if you use the zipline, but the tour time is reduced by more than 40 minutes, and it is recommended because it is worth experiencing at least once. There are about 5 valley jumps of 4m, 7m, and 10m, and there is a swing that costs 10 pesos. If you hand over your cell phone, it will take amazingly beautiful videos and photos. We provide a safe tour with one guide per person, and they treat you with care and kindness. The amazing experience and scenery make it worth doing at least once.

Departing at 2:00 a.m. in Cebu, arriving in Oslob around 4:30 a.m. and you will have to queue for about 1-2 hours to get a queue number. After getting our number, the tour guide took us back to the car to rest and wait. At about 7:00 a.m., return to the location and start watching whale sharks. There were a few whale sharks being fed and swimming back and forth to each boat. Watch whale sharks for about 30 minutes, then return to wash and move to Badian. At Badian you can borrow shoes if needed. Then begin a very interesting journey of exploring waterfalls and waterfall jumping. Highly recommend

I truly enjoy the trip especially the Canyoneering with Jerome as my guide! He is very couraging through the hike, swim and jumps even though he knew I was afraid to jump at every height! But I manage to complete every jump and the swings too! I truly enjoyed myself and I definitely feel Jerome contributed much to it! Making me feel safe and confident throughout the experience!

We had an amazing time on this tour and enjoyed every moment. The Oslob Whale Shark Watching experience and the canyoneering adventure were both very well organized. Our driver, Rudel, picked us up from the hotel at 2:00 AM sharp and was punctual, friendly, and efficient throughout the trip. Swimming with the whale sharks was truly unforgettable, and the canyoneering was just as incredible. Zac was an outstanding guide during the canyoneering he helped us navigate the trek safely and took loads of photos for us along the way. He was friendly, supportive, and excellent at what he does. We highly recommend this tour to future travelers looking for an exciting and memorable experience 🤗

Rudy, our cab driver picked up from hotel by 145am, very considerate and patient person. Throughout the trip, he was super cheerful, and helpful with all our requests. Canyoneering is the best experience, totally recommend for an adventure freak, the whole path is about 6kms where there's sliding, jumping off multiple heights (2m/3m/5m/7m/10m), our guide Jerald is super enthusiastic guy and amazing photographer. We'd love to tag with him in our future adventurous experiences, he's amazing with directions and talked about the path in detail, very optimistic guy. Whale shark experience, I'd recommend people to rent a GoPro, or even better go scuba, the sharks are very near to us.

The staff there is very professional and they take care of you on every step there. It’s a memorable and super fun activities! Worth every pesos I paid. The only cons there is the shower afterwards. The number of shower rooms is not sufficient compared to the number of people. And the small waterproof bag to keep your phone and money would be great, they have a retail for food in the middle of canyoneering. Please also prepare some extra money, GoPro to rent at oslob is 550 php and this includes the staff on the boat that will go down to take picture and video for you. And for zipline at canyoneering is 600 php. All of them are optional though. You can bring your own GoPro as well or buy waterproof for phone and take a picture by yourself. At canyoneering you can choose to walk 30 - 40 mins to the first jumping point instead of taking the zipline with 8 mins walk.

Transfer from the hotel to the event venue and back to the hotel exactly at the agreed time! The only negative is the long wait for the electronic queue to swim with whale sharks, but there were a very large number of tourists. I think this was the reason. Having finally boarded the boat, we went to watch and swim with whale sharks. These are indescribable feelings of awe and delight. A giant giant swims past you a meter, and sometimes even more, behind a boat with food, and you, so small, watch the graceful giant in fascination, almost touching it. My heart skips a beat!!! Having finished watching the sharks, we were taken to canyoning. It was a wonderful walk along a river bed in the mountains, overcoming natural obstacles. Excellent physical and mental exercise!!! The surrounding views and vegetation relax you after the bustle of the city and a long road, your muscles “fill up” with strength. Guides help in overcoming the most “difficult” sections, while simultaneously involving participants in general activities and attractions: sailing with a train, a star, etc. They take pictures and show you how to “group” correctly before the jump. After finishing the route, a delicious lunch was offered. And all this at a very attractive price with discounts. It was definitely fun and interesting!!! I definitely recommend it!!!

Perfect experience! Overcoming the difficulty of getting up early will definitely give you an unforgettable travel experience! Close contact with whale sharks and diving adventure in the canyon!
