The first time I experienced diving, I was a little scared myself, but my boyfriend was a swimming coach, so I had a great time. The 2 diving instructors (1 male and 1 female) were very caring and attentive. For me who was afraid of water, the female instructor was very patient and asked me to try again and again. Finally, I was able to go deeper into the water and took the only picture with my boyfriend. The boyfriend also had a lot of fun, and said that it was very special to send a postcard underwater for the first time. The diving instructor was really patient and helped us to take a lot of photos. My boyfriend was still surrounded by fish and felt super happy. This simple yet protein-packed combination is my first meal of the day. After drinking it with satisfaction, I set off on my journey to the Poseidon Shanshui dive shop. The two instructors had been waiting for a long time. The male instructor, Monster, was friendly and kind, and the female instructor, Yan-Yi, was cheerful and outgoing. Besides me, there was another group, a pair of siblings, whose faces were also filled with excitement and anticipation. After Monster enthusiastically guided us through filling out the forms and health self-assessment, Yan-Yi began to explain the basic knowledge of diving, from hand gestures to mask wearing and drainage, and ear equalization. Every detail is a link to safely enter the underwater world. With preparations complete, our group got into a small truck to go to the dive site. The weather was great today. The sun was bright, and the sea was blue. Sitting in the back of the small truck, letting the gentle breeze blow across my face, it felt like simply sitting in the back of a small truck, blowing in the wind, and watching the scenery along the way. The car quickly came to a stop, and we arrived at the dive site. Monster began to prepare the equipment for me, putting the gear on me. The weight of over 40 pounds felt like the gravity of space had suddenly changed, instantly crushing me down. Monster led the siblings ahead, easily and skillfully going into the water. Yan-Yi was putting on her equipment, signaling me to follow the previous group first, and she would come later. I followed Monster with a clumsy and faltering step, preparing to explore the unknown waters. After coming into contact with the water, Yan-Yi reviewed the breathing method with me again. The instructor patiently explained: "Inhale and exhale through your mouth, don't breathe through your nose, remember?" I carefully followed her instructions. After watching me, the instructor nodded and said, "Your breathing is good, but your nose will still exhale slightly, but it doesn't matter, just pinch your nose and dive if you can't." These seemingly casual words would later become a life-saving mantra when I was in danger underwater. After diving, I felt like I had come to another unknown world, full of mystery and fascination. From pinching my nose to try at first to letting go without hesitation, it seemed to happen in an instant. Kicking my fins and moving forward happily, all kinds of fish came towards me along the way, including round-eyed dascyllus, ocellaris clownfish, six-line wrasse, raccoon butterflyfish, and beautiful fluorescent blue neon damselfish, like a kaleidoscope of the ocean, which was dazzling and like a visual feast. As I continued to dive, the discomfort of the pressure in both ears did not diminish. I immediately performed ear equalization several times to relieve it slightly. The location of the dive shop is easy to find. The instructors and the counter staff are very kind and friendly. They will go into the water after they are familiar with everything.
