Frank Baum, with enthusiastic readers wanting to see more stories in the series. Baum decided to continue writing... After the first novel "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," he released thirteen more sequels, including "The Marvelous Land of Oz," "Ozma of Oz," and "Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz."
