Reviews
The Kimono 👘 shop was easy to find, on the main tourist shopping street (Komachi St) North East of the Kamakura train station, past the McDonald's, go through the big red Tori gates and walk up hill for about 5 min. The staff fitted us and made up the girls hair (you need to pay extra for hair fixing). We then went on a rickshaw ride 🛺. 'Rickshaw Experience in Kamakura' (also booked via Klook) and the rickshaw runner took some great photos of us in our Kimonos. Please note that it can get very hot 🥵very quickly in those Kimonos. We took a couple of air conditioned taxi 🚕 rides (to & back from Hokokuji temple) to try and cool down a bit and we still only managed to last half a day before we had to return them and get back in our cooler clothes. We felt and looked the part and the photos we got were worth the expense and the heat.

Erika helped me throughout the entire process she’s very sweet and speaks a bit of English. I picked the high end package and paid extra there for the better accessories I wanted but the package came with some lovely choices.
It was a pleasant experience, the girls who serve are super friendly, although there are some language limitations, they strive to understand and make themselves understood even with signs and gestures. The kimonos looked great, the photos turned out incredible. They also took care of our suitcases all day until closing for 1100 yen each. And the location of the place is excellent. Good experience.
Offers many choice for ladies, different accessories (have to pay extra but staff did not push to take it). Good hair stylist & friendly staff. Good service, if possible book morning section as there’s only 3 staff to serve
Highly recommended. Friendly staff, good quality, but the price will be increased for each item things you choose as options.
The girls was so kind and English friendly! the kimonos was cute and the hair styles was beautiful. we took the basic kimono + tier 2 hair style
staff is nice & helpful, provide good suggestion but not pushing. great experience. Man’s choice is a bit limited
Impressive. Easy to use voucher. Easy to find the shop. Love their service. Good advice 💯. A lot of Kimono to choose.
The selection of kimonos is small. You only get to choose from 10-20 kimonos in the entire store! This makes you want to pick something more expensive… Also, the ladies attend to several customers at once, so it can take a while. However, knowing this from other reviews, I put a lot of pressure on them and was able to get dressed quickly. I still loved my kimono once I had it on 😊 The bag selection didn't match my kimono either… The other options were much more expensive. This (basic) selection was more expensive than in Kyoto and Tokyo.
