The Coal Museum of China

The China Coal Museum is located on the west bank of Fenhe Park in Taiyuan. How is coal, which is closely related to our daily lives, formed, and how is it excavated from the pitch-black underground? These questions can all be answered at the China Coal Museum. A highlight of the museum is the "Coal Amusement Palace." The "Coal Amusement Palace" is an underground simulated mine that uses a large number of real prototypes or 1:1 scale replicas. You can put on a miner's uniform, wear a miner's helmet, take an elevator to the underground, and walk through the simulated mining tunnels to experience the hardship and danger of a coal miner's daily work.
