What to expect
This program lets you decorate an Echizen lacquered maneki-neko or round mirror using washi paper and 24K gold leaf. Create a chigiri-e-style collage, then add real gold leaf for a unique design. A professional photographer will capture your experience. You will also receive a hinoki cypress maneki-neko charm to write your wish on and take home. Thinned timber supports SDGs-based conservation. Both plans include the charm and photo. Enjoy a cup of green tea, and if time allows, listen to a live Okinawan song performance.

Fun activity. Walked through all of the steps to create a meneki neko and the staff were very helpful, friendly and encouraging, and just generally very nice people. They waited for us outside of the building so we could easily find them and like the description says, it's about a minute outside the Shin-Osaka station. In addition to the maneko neko, we also got a Polaroid of us with our creations, a lucky charm, a clear file and they even shared a matcha with us.
