Reviews
It was a last minute booking just a night before and got picked on time at our hotel. The tour was full of interesting information of the different sites we're about to visit and thanks to our charming and friendly guide CC who even sang for us as we're heading back to Osaka. The interaction with the deer's at Nara park is one of the unforgettable experience with the dear bowing down their heads along with you. I just love it. Till next time Japan.
We'll arrive in Nara around 10 AM. I recommend having breakfast before we meet. Don't worry about not having enough time; this activity provides plenty of time to experience feeding the deer and exploring Todai-ji Temple's Great Buddha Hall (as long as you don't get stuck with the deer for too long, haha!). If you're quick, you can also visit the nearby Himuro Shrine to try the ice water fortune-telling. We'll arrive in Uji around noon. Our guide, Noa, is very thoughtful and always recommends famous local restaurants. You can have lunch first, then explore Byodo-in Temple, and afterwards, head to the Matcha Street for afternoon tea. If you still have energy, you can even make a quick trip to Uji Shrine to get the rabbit Goshuin stamp. The afternoon to early evening itinerary is at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine. You can first visit and take photos at the Senbon Torii (Thousand Torii Gates), then grab some food and drinks nearby. What's more, the best part of this trip is that the tour bus offers a drop-off and pick-up service, so if you want to visit Nara or Uji and need to travel between different areas, you might want to consider this itinerary. That's all!
This itinerary has a moderate pace, allowing even seniors to enjoy a leisurely tour. (You can choose your drop-off point freely.) This time, we boarded in Kyoto and disembarked in Osaka. Since the initial meeting point was in Osaka, there was a bit of traffic on the way to Kyoto. No need to worry, just stay in touch with the tour guide. Many thanks to our kind tour guide, Sam (Xiao Wang), and driver Mr. Kiso Taiji! Although the start was slightly delayed due to traffic, they did not cut short any of our free time. We appreciate both of them! Our tour guide provided commentary on the attractions while we were on the bus. After getting off, you could either follow the guide to learn more or explore on your own. For the first attraction, if you want to visit Todai-ji Temple, you'll need to quickly buy tickets and do a speedy tour. Alternatively, you can choose to leisurely enjoy breakfast, feed the deer, and browse souvenir shops in Nara. For the three attractions in Uji (Byodo-in Temple, Uji Snack Street, and Uji Shrine), we recommend visiting just two to have more ample time. Near Uji Shrine, there's also a charming little rabbit shrine where you might encounter a friendly local guide who can help you find three little rabbits for good luck! By the time we reached Fushimi Inari Shrine, it was getting late. You can head straight to the Senbon Torii (Thousand Torii Gates) for photos (the lighting is better then). Afterwards, you'll still have some time to browse the shopping street (most shops close around 5:00 PM). There's a Chiikawa specialty store that stays open until 5:30 PM, offering local exclusive Chiikawa merchandise, so it's worth a visit. On the return trip to Osaka, if you sit on the right side of the bus by the window, you might even catch a glimpse of Osaka Castle lit up in the distance! While all these attractions are accessible by train, travelers moving from Kyoto to Osaka can take advantage of this guided tour to conveniently transfer their luggage directly on the bus.
fiona was very good she explained the whole trip in details. The trip was well planned and we managed to complete all the three attractions that was carried out
Our tour guide, CC, was excellent and very knowledgeable! The information and stories were captivating, but it would have been even better if the tour fee included admission to attractions and guided tours. I feel like we missed out on a lot, as we didn't even have time to visit Kasuga Grand Shrine or Uji Shrine. It's a shame we spent so much time at Fushimi Inari-taisha and still couldn't see everything.😔🐾
Our tour guide, Yuna, was very meticulous in explaining the history of each location. The itinerary allowed for plenty of time, and she even proactively helped us take photos. Communication throughout the entire trip was smooth and excellent!
Thanks Klook for this package that allowed us to be able to visit 3 attractions with no worries at all. An arrangement was made to fetch us from the hotel at Namba, 1 checked luggage allowed for each person and drop off at Kyoto station after the 1 day trip from Osaka-Nara-Uji-Fushimi Inari. Truly value for money and travel with ease of worries for the transfer between Osaka and Kyoto. Sufficient time are given for each visits. The young guide seemed inexperienced but he tried hard to provide some good advice and shared some links for food recommendation and spots. A fulfilling day!
We booked this 1 day tour last minute thru Klook and it was amazing! Our tour guide, Joy was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. It was also nice to relax on the bus after each stop.
The itinerary was smooth, it's just a shame that there were too many people signed up today and the seats were too full. The tour guide, CC, was very friendly.
We had a wonderful and fun day in Kyoto today with our family and tour guide, Effy. We had plenty of time to enjoy and explore each attraction 😊 Thank you, Effy, for making the trip so easy and enjoyable! I especially appreciate Effy's thoughtful preparation of the meeting point locations, which greatly reduced the stress for someone like me who often gets lost 👍🏻
