Reviews
Reminder: There is no boating in this salt mine, don't make the same mistake as I did. But overall it was an interesting half-day tour. We set off in the morning (there are several designated pick-up points, choose one). The tour guide was humorous and responsive. He introduced us from downtown Bucharest to the entrance of the Slanic Salt Mine, and stopped at a rest stop on the way. After the tour guide led the ticket check, he had nothing to do. He didn't go in, so we took the shuttle bus down to the salt mine to visit. It was very spectacular inside!! There were seats, cafes and some small entertainment facilities. The toilets were very clean and awesome!! We walked around for an hour and came out. It was not yet time for the tour bus to depart, so we went to a small salt mine museum about 10 minutes' walk from the entrance of the salt mine. It was small but still worth walking around. We finally returned to the city at about 3 pm. We had plenty of time and energy.
After entering the salt mine, I felt very shocked. It was hard to imagine that such a huge space could be carved out 200 meters underground. The space inside is 60 meters high and it takes more than an hour to walk around it slowly. There are other gaming facilities in the salt mine, but they are not very attractive. The tour guide said that salt mining is still going on in other spaces within the salt mine. It feels like another world inside the salt mine, and it is a very unforgettable experience.
the tour guide is on time and gave us clear instructions .the trip went well and we really enjoyed our trip.
It's very worth it. The price is affordable and you can pick up and drop off at designated hotels. I recommend it to everyone.
The salt mine offered a fantastic view; it is the largest in Europe. It was a beautiful trip, organized by a great tour conductor. However, the seats were rather small for a two-hour one-way journey.
Transfer was in a small van, we were picked up last so we were seated separately despite clarifying that we need to sit together due to a language barrier. Seat in the back was very small, adults cannot sit comfortably there.
incredible place - must visit in Romania. the transfer was on time, the guide was a sweet lady. all went well
A pretty good attraction. You need to take a shuttle bus to get into the underground salt mine. It's very large and a very special and interesting experience.
Great tour led by Santiago. It is a very impressive place where photos don't do it justice. Recommended if you have a spare day In Bucharest
