Xiling Snow Mountain is located in Dayi County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, only 110 kilometers away from Chengdu. The average temperature in winter is not lower than minus 6 degrees Celsius. It takes about 3 hours by car to reach. The scenic area has a total area of 483 square kilometers, and the altitude ranges from 1260 meters to 5364 meters. It belongs to the World Natural Heritage Site - Giant Panda Habitat, National Scenic Area, National Forest Park, and AAAA-level tourist attraction. Xiling Snow Mountain Ski Resort is the largest natural ski resort in southern and western China. It has designed and opened a number of primary, intermediate, and advanced ski trails, and has good natural conditions for building a large-scale tourist ski resort. Winter here is a world of ice and snow, a kingdom of fairy tales. The snow period is from early December to the end of March of the following year, and the snow thickness reaches more than 60 centimeters. The snow quality is excellent, forming a unique forest and snowfield spectacle in the south.
