08:00 - Depart from the designated meeting point to explore the internet-famous Changsha! (Round-trip transportation within Changsha's main urban area is provided (reimbursement up to 30 yuan/ride for rush hour or locations outside the pick-up/drop-off range). Your tour guide will contact you before 20:30 the day before departure. Please keep your mobile phone accessible. Delays may occur on weekends, holidays, and peak seasons. 09:00-09:30 [Hunan Rice Noodle Street] – A gathering place for specialty rice noodles from 14 cities and prefectures in Hunan.
09:30-11:30 [Hunan Museum] – Home to rare treasures from world’s top ten ancient tombs, and a first-class national museum (90-minute in-depth tour with professional guide and wireless headsets; closed on Mondays; alternative visit to the “Changsha Bamboo Slips Museum,” which is equally fascinating!) “Special Note: Please provide a list of names seven days in advance. If tickets for the basic exhibition at the Hunan Museum are unavailable, the visit will be replaced with a tour of the [Former Site of the CPC Hunan District Committee].”
11:30-12:00 [Hunan Museum] – Hunan People's History and Culture Exhibition (30 minutes of free cultural experience; closed on Mondays; alternative visit to [Chaozong Street]).
