Orihime Shrine
Located on a hill in Ashikaga City, Ashikaga Orihime Shrine is famous for its blessings of connections. The shrine is dedicated to Amenohokoseno Mikoto and Amenoyachichihime no Mikoto, symbolizing the combination of warp and weft in weaving, and representing the union between men and women and happy marriages. The shrine has 229 stone steps, and after climbing them, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city. The seven-colored torii gates within the grounds symbolize the shrine's seven virtues, including connections related to people, health, wisdom, life, academics, work, and business. The shrine's "Love Bell" is a romantic spot that couples must visit. The shrine also attracts many tourists in autumn with its autumn foliage and nighttime light shows.
