What to expect
Experience Korean traditional liquor culture in the heart of Jeju’s old town near Dongmun Market. At Jeju Hanjan, enjoy a guided tasting of Korean traditional liquors produced by local breweries across the island. Guests taste a selection including makgeolli (takju), yakju, distilled soju, and a Jeju-style highball made with local spirits and ingredients such as tangerine and buckwheat. Small Jeju-inspired finger foods are served to demonstrate how traditional liquors pair with local flavors. The experience also includes storytelling about Jeju’s brewing culture and ingredients through multimedia content. After the tasting, visitors can explore around 50 kinds of Jeju traditional liquors available in the shop and receive discounts on Jeju Hanjan miniature liquor sets and souvenirs.

This was a very cool experience. we had the option to pick from several different flavor profiles, so our group of 4 all had different Liquor options. The owner makes all of the food pairings by hand with local ingredients and flavors. We really enjoyed the experience.
we loved our tasting! the liqours where very good and the food paring was amazing. we got a very good explanation about every drink and could taste even other liqours if we wanted to. Amazing experience with good vibes. we where also going to dongmun market afterwards and could pick up the bottels we bought afterwards so we wouldn’t have to carry them around.
Had an amazing time at Jeju Hanjan, the experience was one of the best liquor experiences we’ve had. Love how you can choose your sampler based on your current mood, which means you can book the experience again and again to try different drinks. A very nice tasting experience! The space was beautiful and we learnrd a lot about different types of liquor Jeju produces. I enjoyed the drinks and the finger food it came with and the owner was really nice.
instructor: the staff guiding us during experience was not only extremely kind, but also really knowledgeable and passionate about the topic. We ended up buying 6 bottles of different alcohol ! 🍷 I think I will totally recommend it to whoever visit Jeju! experience: It was a marvelous experience
This is such a unique experience ! We were able to have a sip of four different drinks and have a bite of special desserts. We bought two makgeolis from here: I guess we will have a nice christmas thanks to Jeju hanjan !
An incredible experience for discovering both your own and your friends’ alcohol tastes. Based on our flavor profiles, the sommelier curated four alcohol shots for us, and tasting them by ourselves was such a fun surprise as each alcohol had its own description and story. That’s not even mentioning the aesthetic, which was absolutely incredible. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone interested in exploring their alcohol flavor profile through local Jeju specialties.
