Step into the venue, where vermilion palace walls are matched with dazzling gilded palace lanterns, and the antique furnishings of the palace halls instantly pull you back to ancient times. Whether it's the traditional costumes worn by the waiters or the placement of tableware on the tables, everything is strictly restored according to ancient systems, revealing simplicity and solemnity everywhere.
Here, guests can change into exquisite Hanfu clothing, and professional makeup artists will create makeup that fits the ancient meaning for you, allowing you to integrate into this journey through time from clothing to appearance. At the beginning of the banquet, wonderful traditional songs and dances are performed in succession. The dancers are graceful and the music is beautiful, making you feel as if you are in the imperial banquet of the past.
The dishes are a major highlight of this feast, each prepared using ancient methods. The taste is mellow and the flavor is authentic, leaving a lasting aftertaste.

From the very first step inside, it was wow! The staff were waiting to welcome us from afar, greeting us with a royal-like gesture. Everyone was dressed in traditional costumes, which instantly set the mood. The venue itself was grand and beautifully decorated. The food came in courses. About half of the dishes were absolutely delicious—surprisingly much better than I expected. The other half wasn’t really to my personal taste. The way the dishes were served was also impressive: the staff walked out in formation, like royal attendants, which added to the immersive atmosphere. As for the show, it was enjoyable though not as breathtaking as other performance I’ve seen in Chongqing. Still, the seating arrangement was very close to the stage, which made the experience feel intimate and engaging. I found myself appreciating it and cheering the performers on. Overall, it’s truly worth experiencing—and definitely worth going if you have the time!

Had expected something more elaborate, but the performance and set was very simple, especially compared to other such banquets in China. Food was not bad though, although the portions were huge. Did not appreciate that I was requested to change my booking 2-3 days before the actual event because they had someone book their entire venue on my original dates.
Interesting experience, but not worth it for males. They did not provide a wig for the male outfit, so the whole set-up looked very strange. No shoes were provided either.
Was a fun experience, although the set up for makeup was not cleanest. Pity there wasn't a lot of space around the venue to take nice pictures...
The quality of the food was inferior to other "Suyuan" restaurants in China. The performance also felt a bit stiff. Anyone who has experienced "Suyuan" in other Chinese cities would likely be disappointed.
