One-Day Exploration Tour of Yufuin and Yabakei for Autumn Foliage Viewing

We gathered promptly at 8:30 AM and set off on time. The tour guide was enthusiastic and provided detailed explanations. Strolling along the maple leaf path reminiscent of Kamado Shrine, the autumn leaves gently brushed against our feet, making us feel like we had stepped into a Japanese anime scene. We passed through the dreamy autumn mist of Yufuin, where each step was filled with tranquility and the scent of pine trees in the lingering haze. The crimson forests of Yabakei Gorge unfolded in layers, so vibrant that they seemed to spill out of a painting. Finally, we visited Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) and Beppu Onsen (Beppu Hot Springs) to experience the churning steam and unique geothermal power, which seemed to instantly heal the fatigue of the journey. This was an immersive autumn journey, filled with surprises and a sense of healing at every turn. I will definitely book another day tour next time I visit.

I love this tour, very relaxing with just stunning views of Fukuoka. If you like a laidback and calm activity this one's for you. Our group was very disciplined as well that we've get point to all of the places on time and scheduled return to the city. Jimmy was our tourguide for the day, he's very nice, funny and knowledgeable not just about Fukuoka but for the rest of Japan.

This trip focused on enjoying the autumn leaves. The scenery at the attractions during this time was truly beautiful with vibrant red maple leaves. Our guide, Mr. Liu, was very cheerful and talkative, straightforward, and attentive. He provided both Chinese and English explanations, catering to travelers from different countries, making the trip run very smoothly. For travelers who want to visit more attractions in one day, taking a day trip is easier and more cost-effective than traveling independently. I'm very happy to have participated in this trip and to have had such a wonderful guide. Everything was perfect.

Our tour guide Jimmy is very accommodating. He was able to talk to us both in English and Chinese which is impressive. I love the specific sites that we visited and spent ample time to appreciate each one. I’m glad also that we were safely taken care of by our driver - smooth saily daytrip thanks to him! Awesome! If you’re visiting Kyushu in autumn, this experience is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary. It’s a relaxing escape and definitely a good mixture of culture and nature in one day. Jimmy-our guide, was helpful and laid-back and gave everyone the best time to enjoy these scenic spots.

The itinerary planning was great, and the tour guide Ada was very dedicated in her introduction. I was happy to see the maple leaves at Kamado Shrine, and the hot spring eggs at Umi Jigoku were delicious. Because the drive was time-consuming, Ada thoughtfully adjusted the stopover time in Yufuin, allowing us to enjoy walking around, shopping, and eating delicious food more fully.

Revisiting this place, but the different seasons obviously show different beauty. It happened to be the season for autumn leaves, and although they weren't overwhelmingly vibrant, these few trees were enough to take many beautiful photos! The tour guide, Jimmy San, is also very professional, using fluent Mandarin and English to clearly explain things to guests, and Japanese to communicate with the driver, just right!
