Yangtze Impression Cruise, departing from Chongqing. This is one of the three less expensive cruises. I wouldn't recommend it to those who don't like purely Chinese food. We were the only foreigners on board. The crew always tried to help us. The ship isn't very new, but it's acceptable. If you want more comfort, there is a more expensive cruise option where all the foreigners stay.

It was a great cruise on Yangtze River. Food was a little less than expected. Not much fruits and it was the same for all 3 days. It was especially great as we had an English interpreter Chen who helps us and guided us in many instances even though he was not our official interpreter. An excellent young man. The tours were also great, especially the 3 gorges lift.

Overall very bad experience. was assigned to wrong tour group but after much hassle, we were pass to the correct tour group. The itinerary was not as published. They didn’t bring us to visit Shibaozhai and were need to pay to visit Fengdu Ghost City. Meal time (breakfast, lunch And dinner) is only 1 hour. On the last day, we’re supposed to have Chongqing city tour but unfortunately, we were being abandoned at the port. Nobody contact us and we try to contact Sally but no response from them. The cruise ship staff said city tour is not by them. Can you imagine the stress that we have to endure??? Left abandoned at a unfamiliar place and no idea what’s next…

We started off with the male crew member not able to licatr my booking. After some 10 minutes going through his pages and registration and sweating us out, he then said we were on the list. then without telling us which cabin we were assigned to( I am sure there should be an assigned room when cruise is confirmed), he then pressured us to upgrade our room to a more quiet location for an extra 200¥. we were so stressed out just to comply. not saying he didn’t meant well, but the lack of transparency make me wonder his intention. This ship definitely not suitable for foreigners who don’t understand Mandarin. I couldn’t understand all the announcements and was lost completely. I suggest it be pulled from Klook platform! The ship is old, offers no WIFI. No air conditioning and no change of bath towels or linens the whole voyage. It is completely a dirt cheap low cost operation. This is the worse cruise we ever had!!!!!
