One-day tour of the Three Gorges Dam in Yichang, Hubei (Three Gorges luxury cruise ship + pick-up and drop-off service)

This activity was quite interesting, but encountering heavy fog early in the morning prevented the boat from departing, resulting in a frustrating extra hour and a half of waiting. The scenery seen along the Yangtze River during the morning boat ride was truly picturesque, and my mood was very excited. Arriving at Gezhou Dam and watching the boat move forward was even more delightful. However, lunchtime involved being crowded in the restaurant with a group of first-grade students, making the meal unenjoyable. But the afternoon's tour schedule was very tight-knit and interesting. The tour guide's explanation was also very clear and well-led. This itinerary is very worthwhile.

This one day tour involves various modes of transportation and if you don’t understand Chinese, you won’t figure out the content the tour guide is explaining and it’s a bit cumbersome as you can only see but understand nothing. Be sure to bring any type of translation gadget with you to make things a little easier and smoother.

I took the 4:42 AM high-speed train from Wuhan Station to the Three Gorges Tourist Center to join the tour. The guide speaks some English. It's interesting to pass the Gezhouba Dam on the cruise ship. Lunch is just okay. The Three Gorges Dam is a little less impressive than I expected. The tour bus terminus is at Yichang East Station, so it was easy to take the 7 PM high-speed train back to Wuhan. It's a good value product.

It was a great tour to the dams. Very interesting and informative. Amazing place and really worth it to go and experience.
