I booked this experience during the Christmas peak period with the expectation—based on local practice and official Montreux Noël / Rochers-de-Naye information—that Santa House admission would be included together with the cogwheel train ticket.
In reality, Santa House entry was fully booked upon arrival, and the ticket only covered the round-trip train. This was extremely disappointing, as Santa House is the core attraction during the Christmas season at Rochers-de-Naye.
Without guaranteed admission, the full 1 hour at the summit could not be meaningfully optimized, especially in peak season when weather conditions are often cloudy and indoor attractions become even more important.
This limitation was not clearly highlighted at the point of booking. During Christmas, Santa House admission should be explicitly included or guaranteed, in line with local practice and visitor expectations, or at least clearly disclosed before purchase.
