I used this service for my transfer to Fitzroy Island. The boat was two-storied and departed and arrived on schedule, which made for a reassuring experience. If your goal is to explore the island and enjoy the scenery without getting into the ocean, I believe the afternoon departure would be perfectly enjoyable. However, walking to the popular Nudey Beach and taking photos took up more time than expected, so there wasn't much time left to leisurely visit other spots. Overall, the transfer was comfortable and smooth, and I am very satisfied.
The staff was very pleasant. The crossing was a bit rough due to the wind at sea. Fitzroy Island is magnificent; I recommend checking the weather in advance.
We boarded the 1:30 PM boat. The meeting point was just a small tent, and it was hot under the sun. We departed almost on time. Although there was some rocking, the ride was comfortable, and no one felt seasick. The trek on the sandy beach was enjoyable, and arriving at the ocean was a wonderful experience. It was the best beach, with very few people. The half-day trip was just right, with plenty of time before heading back.
