What to expect
The restaurant is the first Teppanyaki restaurant supervised by Dominique Bouchet, which combines Japanese flavors with authentic French cuisine. Minokichi Honten Takeshigerou, one of the eight fresh fish restaurants designated by the Kyoto government in the Edo period, was established in 1716 and continues to be a leading restaurant in the Kyoto cuisine industry. In 1950, Minoyoshi moved to its current location and was renamed Takeshiguro in 1992, meaning "restaurant with a lush bamboo forest".
