My spouse and I participated in this tour in May. The transportation for the day was the bus shown closest in the attached photo. Although we shared the bus with an English tour group (17 people), there was one guide assigned per language. On this particular day, we were the only two participants on the Japanese tour, so we were fortunate to have the guide to ourselves, which allowed us to sightsee at our own pace, and we were very grateful for that. Regarding Pickup: We were scheduled for a 3:00 PM pickup at our Da Nang hotel lobby, but about 30 minutes prior, we received a call in our room saying it would be 3:15 PM. However, around 2:55 PM, the front desk called again to say the guide had arrived, so we went to the lobby and met them. After that, we waited about 15 minutes for the bus to actually arrive and depart. Regarding the Tour Content and Guide: Our Japanese guide, Mr. Hoang, was very experienced, having even guided Emperor Akihito in the past. Marble Mountain: The guide efficiently purchased the extra elevator tickets for us, and we were able to navigate smoothly even on a crowded Saturday. Consideration: We appreciated that the guide frequently helped us with taking photos at good spots and directed us to free restrooms. Regarding Meals: Dinner in Hoi An was at a round table for 4-5 people, shared with the English tour group. While taste is subjective, the portions were so generous that we couldn't finish everything. Regarding Hoi An Exploration and Return: The townscape, with lanterns lighting up as it got dark, was very atmospheric. At the Japanese Bridge (Chua Cau), the guide explained historical points, such as the markers for flood levels during the rainy season. Afterward, we had nearly an hour of free time before meeting at the Hoi An market. On the way back, we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for the bus to arrive, but the guide thoughtfully arranged for us to wait in a place where we could sit, so it wasn't much of an inconvenience.
Was offered and upgrade at no extra cost. Felt very much at ease during the ride. Guide offered to take my pictures (as a solo traveler) without me asking. Communicated well during our time in Hoi An. Wish our time in Hoi An was longer.
The entire trip was truly amazing. The driver picked us up at the hotel in Da Nang and drove us to the Marble mountain first, followed by Hoi An. Even the guide advised us on the pricing for the lantern boat, ensuring we wouldn't get scammed. He also advised us whether to ride a motor or a manual paddling boat, which helped us a lot. He gave us ample time in each destination to roam around, feeling free and easy, and was very clear with his instructions (I.e., meet up time and place). On the bus, he explained the history and culture of the place in great details.
I felt so accomplished after reaching the summit of one of the Marble Mountains, Water (the tallest). There's actually an elevator up to the first 100 steps, up to the middle, which the guide recommended to us. Ha Noi is a gem.
was picked up and dropped us directly from our hotel, visited marble mountain for an hour and hoi an for about 2-3 hrs only with yummy dinner to complete our tour. also our guide was able to explained clearly the history. highly recommended to take this tour if you have quick visit or limited time.
I Visited Marble Mountains in Da Nang and it was breathtaking! The hike up was challenging but the views from the top were stunning. The caves and pagodas were fascinating, and the sunset was pure magic.A must-visit in Vietnam!"
T was a great guide who ensured our safety and enjoyment. Even though the company got confused with my contact information, T made sure to pick me up from my location and even catered to my departure request. The itinerary itself was interesting; we got to see the highlight of Marble Mountain and enjoy Hoi An on our own time. Food was just okay but quite plentiful.
Erick was very detailed when explaining the places we visited, especially since our group was mostly senior citizens who tend to ask a lot of questions 😆. Overall, the tour was very chill (except for Marble Mountain), but still a lot of fun. The highlight was definitely our stop in Hoi An, where we had more than an hour of free time to explore and enjoy. Big thanks to Erick for being so patient and thorough with our group 👍🏼👏.
This was the best experience I’ve had with a tour guide so far. The guide introduced every participant to the country, spoke warmly with everyone, and explained everything in a clear and easy-to-understand way. They took great care of the whole group, and the dinner was perfect.
