For your next stop, your tuk tuk ride will take you inside the Old City where temples and other historic sites reside. Make your stop at Wat Chedi Luang, the 'Temple of Big Stupa'. Reviews
When you visit Chiang Mai, a city known for its relaxed pace, exploring temples is a must! Our guide, Ms. Immy, was absolutely lovely and communicated well in English. The tour included three temples, and she explained the culture and origins of each. Please note that women are not allowed in some smaller temples next to the main ones, but the main temples are always accessible. Afterward, she took us to a local traditional market. Since it was April and very hot, Immy first treated us to some famous Thai iced tea. Once inside the market, you can tell your guide what you'd like to buy, and she'll take you to the right vendors. The prices in the market are very affordable, making it a great place to buy souvenirs. Finally, our guide also treated us to some local specialty snacks. It was a wonderful trip!
It was great experience having someone explain the background of historical places visited in Chiang Mai. The local tour guide brought us to where we can find good buys for food and souvenirs. The tuktuk ride was convenient in touring us around temples and shops. The tour guide attended to the specific needs of the guests.
Vincent was a good tour guide as he was really explaining about the histories of the temples, he answered our questions too. It was a nice experience being on Tuktuk tour like you are a local. 3 temples + Tha Pae Gate + Monument and then Warorot Market to buy some goods. Definitely worth a try!
Immy speaks good English and she was able to share a lot of information in each of the attractions visited. Very convenient as well since we have our own tuktuk during the trip!
It was a lovely afternoon city tour - we learned a lot about the city and the temples we visited. Both Guide and Driver were really good. We found the amount of stops on the tour efficient and loved the fact that we got picked up from our hotel (and the drop off). Any questions we had was answered by the guide - he was very knowledgeable. Also loved the fact that he took us through the food/flower markets. Tip: take a hat and sunscreen - it can get pretty warm.
The tour was worth the money , the guide Kai was well informed and we moved on our own paced . This is how you discover Chiang Mai city , we even went to the big market . Kudos to the guide ( Kai ) and the driver .
Very good value, highly recommended, essential tour, the tour guide can speak French, and the arrangements are appropriate. I will definitely participate again. Overall it is excellent.
We had a wonderful afternoon with our guide Noo and the Tuk tuk driver. Noo speaks perfect English and taught us so much about the history of Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand and the surrounding countries. We visited several temples and a huge local market. Noo translated for us with locals in the market and monks at the temples. We traveled by electric tuk tuk while Noo talked about each area we were travelling through. The tuk tuk definitely added an extra authentically Thai feel to the afternoon. An excellent tour which was so much more than we were expecting.
Tuktuk tour is highly recommended for first timers in Chiang Mai, just in time for the Loy Krathong festival. Ms. Immy and team is very accommodating and knows the place very well.
Chiang Mai is very relaxing city than Bangkok. Its slow pace and very historic city. A must to visit when in Thailand. Vincent my tour guide has explained to me the must know during the tour.
