Penghu Island Hopping: Tongpan Cruise & Cimei & Wang'an One-Day Tour

The trip was very windy, so the boat swayed quite a bit. Fortunately, only the journey from Magong to Qimei was particularly rough; the rest of the trip was very calm! The itinerary offered a lot of flexibility, making it perfect for travelers who have done their pre-trip research. Although the weather was overcast, we still got to dip our feet in the ocean at Wang'an Beach, fed cats in the Huacun settlement, and saw the magnificent Twin-Hearts Stone Weir! It rained heavily on the morning of departure, and I was worried that the boat would not sail, but luckily it still set off. If you get seasick, it is really recommended to take seasickness medicine. On the way out, the wind is against the wind and the boat is really rocking up and down like a roller coaster. The boat ride takes about more than an hour. Fortunately, the weather was pretty good most of the time when I arrived in Qimei and Wangan. I could leisurely ride my motorcycle around and take beautiful photos. The motorcycle was in good condition and I just needed to pick the car a little bit. The outlying islands are really beautiful. It’s worth a trip to see the scenery that you can’t see on the main island of Taiwan😀

There is a northeast monsoon that day. The captain will inform you about the degree of shaking in advance. Basically, Tongpan stops the boat and introduces us to take photos without going ashore. We then hop to the island to Qimei and then to Wangan. The wind and waves on the two islands will have different degrees of shaking due to the current. For those who are vomiting, it is recommended to take the stern of the boat and choose the bus option to go to the island. It is convenient and fast. I really recommend it.

Qimei Island is located in the southern part of Taiwan's Penghu Islands. It is a famous outlying island in Penghu County and is famous for its beautiful natural landscape and rich history and culture. Qimei Island is small in area, but it contains rich tourism resources, especially the unique Shihu landscape, the magnificent coastline and many legends and stories, making it a popular destination among tourists in the Penghu Islands. Among them, one of the most famous attractions is the "Double Heart Stone". This ancient fishing gear has become a symbol of love because of its double heart shape, attracting countless tourists. In addition to Shihu, Qimei Island also has the magnificent Golden Dragon Pagoda, the natural wonder of Little Taiwan, and the Qimei Ren Tomb, which inherits local history and culture. Every attraction is unforgettable. In addition, the life in the fishing village of Qimei Island is also very simple. Local residents make a living by fishing. The fishing port scene and food experience are also parts not to be missed. When I first set foot on Qimei Island, I was immediately attracted by the peaceful atmosphere and magnificent natural landscape of this small island. Starting from the Double Heart Stone, the two connected heart-shaped stones in front of you look particularly romantic against the blue sky and blue sea. When the tide is low, the shape of the stone is even more clearly visible. It is really a perfect place to take pictures. In addition, the shape of the natural rock disk in Little Taiwan is similar to the main island of Taiwan, which made me amazed by the uncanny craftsmanship of nature. The Tomb of Seven Beauties gave me a deep understanding of the history and legends behind this island, and the respect and memory of the local residents for their ancestors.

The Qimei Wang'an Ferry did not encounter too much wind and waves and was considered comfortable. The staff also gave explanations and slowed down the speed for us to take photos when passing Tongpan Island. The motorcycle rental service on Wangan Island is good (if there is a small incident due to my own negligence, the service staff will be happy to help solve it). Renting a motorcycle on Qimei Island went smoothly, but when returning the motorcycle, a service staff made a bad face and slammed the motorcycle seat cover hard, which made me feel that the service was not good, so I deducted one star for service satisfaction.

Qimei is truly beautiful. Wang'an's Hua Zhai (traditional houses) also have a lot of character. It's very convenient to buy a one-day tour package; after taking the boat to the island, you're immediately set up with a scooter for independent exploration.

Taking the bus is comfortable; you don't have to worry about sun or rain. We also had a professional tour guide who provided explanations and enthusiastically helped us find good angles for photos. When we arrived in Wang'an, they arranged a meal for us. It would be even better if we could have a bit more time at each attraction.

The Qimei and Wang'an itinerary was very well-planned, with beautiful scenery and perfect weather, resulting in stunning photos. The island-hopping yacht ride was very smooth, and I didn't experience any seasickness. The air conditioning on the tour bus in the morning was strong, and the ride was very comfortable. It's definitely worth a visit.

The boat ride takes about 1.5 hours. If you get seasick, it is recommended to take medicine. There are professional tour buses to take passengers to visit various scenic spots. There are tour guides explaining the whole process. It is a great tour!
