Good to know
In a small street-side bar with just a single table, Chunsik and Sunok cross paths.
Their love blossomed with his bold promise: “I’d pluck the stars from the sky for you.”
They thought love was all they needed to face any challenge that came their way. Even when he left, she gave him her address.
Yet, as the days turned to years, Sunok waited in vain – no letters, no visits, not even a glimpse of Chunsik.
Then, one day, at the very spot they first met, she sees him again, as if fate had planned it.
A love story more cinematic than cinema, the tale of Chunsik and Sunok— shall we journey back through their time together?
Though not every moment may be perfect, our love shines bright simply because it’s ours.

I had the chance to watch Beautiful Life in Seoul, and I absolutely enjoyed it. It’s a pure romance drama with a touch of comedy, carried entirely by just two amazing actors. Despite the simple setup, their performances kept me hooked from start to finish. The story follows a couple navigating life’s ups and downs, showing the beauty and struggles of love, relationships, and growing old together. It’s heartfelt, emotional, and deeply relatable. A huge plus is that the show has English translations, but if you’re watching, make sure to ask for a seat where you can easily read the subtitles while still keeping your eyes on the stage. That way, you don’t miss out on any of the emotional moments. If you’re looking for something different to experience in Seoul, this is a great option! Plus, you even get the chance to take a photo with the actors after the show. Highly recommend it if you’re into intimate, well-acted dramas!
interesting play about love and life. humorous at times with 1 tear jerking moment. but having to turn your head left and right to read the subtitles is tiring.
One of the best purchases I made in Korea! Was a very touching play, and the actor and actresses were all very skilled. I was a little confused about the subtitles thing - so do see my picture for the explanation. The cast speaks korean, just that subtitles are provided in other langauges at the sides of the show on the screen
A deeply moving story where the two actors showcase their versatility by portraying encounters and relationships across different eras. The entire series feels relatable, capturing the sweetness, bitterness, joy, and sorrow of everyday life.
absolutely superb 🙌🙌👍👍❤️❤️. heartwarming and heartbreaking. so beautifully observed, written and acted. a magical night of Korean theatre with great subtitles for us English speakers. If you are in Seoul, just GO!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A bitter sweet story about love and life. The script and acting are good. If you need to read the subtitles, best to have a seat at mid level so you can watch the stage and subtitles on the screen at the same time. My seat was in row 4 which is too up front. I have to swing my head between the stage and the screen every other second.
it was fun! we enjoyed the production eventhough we had to follow the english translation. occasionally, it seemed like the dialogue did not follow the action but we got the drift.
It is a work worth watching. The two actors supported the whole performance and made the audience laugh and cry together. It is a blessing to watch this romantic and touching stage play on Christmas Eve! If you like stage plays, please don’t miss this play. I highly recommend it to everyone.
It was small and cozy, so I was glad to be able to watch it up close. The story was also very moving. I was almost in tears at the end. I've seen this type of movie a few times, and the male actors are always funny. I hope they'll carry more of them.
After watching several musicals and stage plays from Korea in Taiwan, I have always wanted to experience theater performances in Korea in person. Beautiful Life is the first stage play I watched in Korea. The subtitles and the actors’ vivid performances The acting skills made me cry and laugh along with the plot. I didn’t have to worry about not understanding it because the actors’ performances were really engaging. Beautiful Life is a story that is very close to life. I believe everyone can get their own experience. I highly recommend everyone to enjoy it!
