Have Fun in Fukui Pass

I purchased the Fukui Fun Pass online on the day of my trip, and the redemption methods varied slightly for each attraction. I redeemed the following three tickets: 1. Echizen Railway One-Day Pass: I went directly to the Echizen Railway ticket counter to redeem it for a day pass. 2. Dinosaur Bus (New Sensation XR Bus WOW RIDE): I went directly to the boarding point at the east exit of Fukui Station (look to the right as you exit) and showed it to the staff. However, you can reserve seats in advance, so they only open it to people on the spot if there are available seats that day. 3. Dinosaur Museum Ticket: There is a manual counter to the left of the ticket vending machines that specializes in handling various ticket redemptions, and you can get your ticket quickly. For the return trip, I used the Echizen Railway One-Day Pass to ride the free shuttle bus to Katsuyama Station. I just showed my ticket when I got off the bus. Because the Dinosaur Museum is very popular, please avoid visiting on weekends. I had to stand all the way on the shuttle bus to the station. The bus isn't big and the road is winding, so it was a bit tough. The Dinosaur Bus has no windows at all and is an enclosed space. Dinosaur videos are played on the left and right sides and the ceiling of the bus, and there are also scenes of the outside scenery interspersed. It's almost always dark inside, and some people get dizzy, so please assess your condition before redeeming. Overall, this Fukui Fun Pass is the best value ticket in Hokuriku.

Very good value ticket, I used it to exchange for a one-day railway ticket, went to the dinosaur museum, and exchanged it for a ticket, and then exchanged it for a ¥1000 coupon to enjoy the delicious Echizen crab

Great pass! You can avail of three attractions in the list with ample time interval (within 7 days, I think). Overall you get big savings when you total the price of your combined three attractions. Highly recommended :)

This pass is very useful and offers great value. Just using it to take the bus to the Dinosaur Museum made it worth the price. I highly recommend everyone buy it!

The exchange of the Kansai-Hokuriku 7-Day Pass is quite convenient. You can choose to exchange it using the electronic voucher and passport at either a machine or the JR exchange counter at Kansai Airport. It allows for flexible itinerary planning and saves a lot on transportation costs. As for the Fukui Enjoy Pass, it's a great value. This time, I used it for the XR Dinosaur Bus, Dinosaur Museum ticket, and Echizen Matsushima Aquarium. When taking the Dinosaur Bus, simply show the electronic voucher to the driver for scanning. It is recommended to arrive at the boarding point 10 minutes early to wait. For the Dinosaur Museum, go directly to the ticket office and present the electronic voucher to exchange for a physical ticket. You need to reserve a time slot on the museum's official website in advance. For the Echizen Matsushima Aquarium, present the electronic voucher + pay 700 yen (ticket price is 2200 yen, with a discount of 1500 yen). The usage period for the above tickets is December 2025.

It's very convenient to show the QR code and exchange it for a one-day Echizen Railway pass, a Dinosaur Museum admission ticket, and discounted admission to the Echizen Matsushima Aquarium.

If you're visiting Kanazawa in the Hokuriku region and have some extra time, consider using a travel pass to take a side trip to Fukui. It's a great value, especially for dinosaur enthusiasts – don't miss it!

I used the Wow Ride once, the Dinosaur Museum admission ticket, and the Echizen Railway one-day pass! It was very useful as I received more than double the benefits compared to the pass price. I intend to use it again in the future.
