Superbe chambre et emplacement !

This was a great location and we loved the service and amenities.

Front desk staff are friendly and speak multiple languages. Laundry room only has two washer/dryer and each cycle can take 90-120 mins depending on your load/need, and it’s always being used, so plan accordingly. The lobby area is very cute, with machines for coffee/matcha drinks. The delux suite is elegant, very spacious, with some smart features. The bathroom is huge with a large bathtub, and a clean sauna room. We loved our room! Location is great.

The comfort here made it surprisingly difficult to leave each morning.

We love the location, it’s close to everything that we wanted to experience. The hotel is nice and clean. Friendly staff. We enjoyed the coffee station at the lobby also.

Gion Elite Terrace Kyoto was an excellent place to stay and exceeded our expectations. The location was fantastic, with many shops, restaurants, and attractions within easy walking distance, making it a convenient base for exploring Kyoto. Our room comfortably accommodated 4 people and felt surprisingly spacious. Everything was modern, clean, and well maintained. We especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities, including complimentary coffee, free self-service laundry, and automated blackout window coverings that made it easy to get a good night's sleep. The private terrace was a nice bonus and added to the overall experience. The hotel also offered breakfast as an option, which was convenient on busy sightseeing days. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One service we found particularly valuable was their ability to arrange luggage transfer to our next hotel in Osaka (for a fee), which made traveling between cities much easier and stress-free. Overall, Gion Elite Terrace combines a great location, comfortable accommodations, modern amenities, and helpful service. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.

This was our favorite place because of the layout of the room, the staff, and the location. Definitely coming back!

Gion Elite Terrace is a great homebase in Kyoto. The hotel is clean, the rooms are incredibly well designed, with comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms, and more. The only downside (which is a larger issue with Kyoto in general) is that the property does not have much authentic Japanese charm or feel because it is largely (75%+) American tourists and staff are perfectly bilingual (a plus, but also a bit disorienting). If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese experience then this likely isn’t for you, but if you was a solid hotel with fantastic levels of comfort then this is for you. The motorized blackout blinds were a huge plus as the sun rises painfully early in summer in Japan (before 5am).

The rooms were sizable and super clean. Came with all the amenities you’d need. I loved the sauna and the oxygen bath. Fantastic central location! I’d definitely stay again!
