Going to Bangkok soon? Don’t forget to add this meaningful experience to your itinerary. We visited Living Green Elephant Sanctuary Chonburi, just outside Bangkok, and booked our tour through Klook. Here, we got to feed the elephants, see and learn about their natural environment, walk alongside them, and spend time bonding with these gentle giants.
More than just an unforgettable experience, visiting an ethical sanctuary like this allows us to learn more about elephants and support their care and well-being. Our guide, if I remembered his name right, Mot, or Gwapo, was very informative and entertaining.

ήταν τρελό, ένιωθα σίγουρος μέχρι που άνοιξε η πόρτα του αεροπλάνου, ο αέρας, ο άνεμος... με έκαναν να νιώθω τόσο μικροσκοπικός σε αυτόν τον πλανήτη. Όταν πήδηξα, ο φόβος έφυγε γρήγορα, άφησε τη θέση του στην αδρεναλίνη που εκτοξεύτηκε στον εγκέφαλό μου.

This is a zoo where you can see animals relatively close up in a spacious natural environment. Both the Green Zone and Pink Zone are worth seeing, but feeding experiences are only available in the Green Zone, where you can feed rhinoceroses, elephants, giraffes, and capybaras. Many people suggest watching the elephant show first and then taking pictures with the elephants, but surprisingly, elephants often don't eat the food, instead taking it with their trunks and then discarding it on the ground. Giraffes, however, eat everything you give them and make for great photos, so I personally recommend them. Monkeys can often be aggressive, so it's best not to leave any items in your cart. Also, the two-hour cart return limit goes by quickly when you're feeding animals, so manage your time well. For the elephant show, watching for just 5 minutes is enough, as the rest is repetitive, so moving on quickly is a good strategy. Our driver, Tamm, assigned by Klook, was very kind and friendly, taking photos and providing guidance, which made for a smooth and comfortable journey. We had no concerns about the driver at all.

Είναι τεράστιος και χρειάζεται ένα αμαξάκι του γκολφ ή τραμ για να τον γυρίσετε, με επιπλέον χρέωση. Η εξαργύρωση των εισιτηρίων Klook γίνεται σε ένα κοντινό φυλάκιο έξω από τον ζωολογικό κήπο. Υπάρχουν πάγκοι φαγητού μέσα. Περάσαμε περίπου 1 με 2 ώρες εδώ λόγω του ζεστού καιρού.

Thanks to the hotel's shuttle service, I had a very relaxing time. Moomin the pygmy hippopotamus had grown quite a bit, so it wasn't too crowded. A golf cart is definitely a must-have! The animals seemed to be living freely and vibrantly. You can feed them and feel close to them, and I got to see them in ways I normally wouldn't. Everything required cash. There's an ATM at the information desk by the entrance. Also, the driver was very kind.

Tge car was clean and efficient, driver did a good job driving BUT he has zero English knowledge and does not even know how to use google translate:( He has no input whatsoever, and he can’t understand a word that we tell him, so frustrating.

Massage Therapist: I absolutely loved the very kind owner and therapist! I definitely want to go again! I requested a 2-hour herbal ball and oil massage, and I was so satisfied that I felt it was quite inexpensive for the quality! I think it would be difficult to access without a car.
