I had an amazing experience renting a kimono in Tokyo! The kimono selection was fantastic, with so many beautiful designs to choose from. The hairstyling was on point and really completed the look. What truly made the day special was the photographer – a real artist who knew all the best spots for photos, capturing every moment perfectly. The only downside was the makeup; it left me feeling a bit washed out. However, despite that, I’d definitely recommend this experience for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in Japanese culture and get some stunning photos!

If you're hesitating to book this, just stop and do it. I'm so glad I did! You can't get this kind of quality and professionalism for this price in the states. You can go fight the crowds at Asakusa and do one of those yukata rental experiences, or you can have the team at Minina studio transform you completely. I recommend checking out their IG to see what they can really do @mininaphoto. I went with the dramatic Oiran look for both outfit changes. Cana-san did a stellar job with my crazy up-do and make up. It was so fun watching her treat my head like one of those Japanese floral arrangements. The owner Mary-San would come over and provide critique here and there, she was always spot on. The photographer Matsumoto-San was so dedicated and I felt very comfortable with him, the photos were stunning, I looked like I was in another world! I had so much fun 🤩

地點尚算容易找，職員很友善，會主動跟你聊天，職員知道我喜歡某位男歌星，當我去進行拍攝時，職員特地播放了男歌星的歌，直到我走為止，非常貼心及令我很高興。不過都頗貴，拍攝了很多張相片，但只能選四張，其他要另加錢，數據也只有選的四張。

Awesome experience! The boss was nice, and photographer was patient. I particularly liked the hair styles. The photos I received were fantastic too!

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They knew abit of english and photographer was taiwanese so he could translate for us. Everything went very smoothly and place was quite easy to find. Very professional as well.

Probably the best experience we ever did in Japan. The photoshooting was so relaxing and the everyone were so nice! We felt so comfortable and the photos already look amazing in raw! Definitely a must do! And we will definitely come back again! Thank you so much!

No words will be able to fully capture just how phenomenal the whole Minina photoshoot experience was. The entire staff (Ami, Matsumoto, and Mary) were incredibly kind, friendly, and hospitable...and I truly appreciated their company, expertise, and professionalism. I had originally purchased the B course photoshoot, which included a full makeover (face + hair) and full autonomy in selecting two costume changes and studio sets. The abundant apparel and accessories were all stunning. Even more impressive were the elaborate sets, which completely transport you to another time and world. However, nothing compared to the caliber of talent, creativity, and dedication displayed by the staff. Ami truly has a gift for transforming any face into a work of art through her extensive makeup skills. I didn't even recognize myself (in the best way possible) near the end. For the first time in a long while, I even felt beautiful thanks to Ami's finesse for finding beauty in anything and enhancing those features. I was equally blown away by Matsumoto's ingenuity and mastery over capturing the perfect photos. The way he staged the lighting, sets, and composition was pure artistry. As a camera-shy individual who is not accustomed to being photographed, I really appreciated his helpful guidance in how to strike natural looking poses. I cannot elaborate enough how comfortable the staff made me feel. Given that I was also a foreigner, I was worried that my extremely limited Japanese would create a language barrier. Luckily, the staff was incredibly understanding and knew a bit of English. I even learned that Ami (who is fluent in English) once study abroad in my home state. (This inspired me to learn more Japanese). Immediately following the photoshoot, I was allowed to review all of the photos taken and select the ones that I would like sent over the internet. There is also the option of having those selected images printed or placed on a CD. Mary was considerably patient with helping me choose, and was even sweet enough to find me after leaving the studio to hand me a complimentary Minina photo album. Overall, the entire process was unforgettable, magical, uplifting, and positively transformative. I highly recommend this studio over any other in Japan.

a full service from hair, make up, posing and photography. the staff were welcoming and warm. photos are not allowed, except for a brief selfie time before the real photo shoot begins. I loved the sets, props and the outfits are jaw-droppingly gorgeous. very neat experience and walkable from the closest subway station. i did a 4 hour session and found myself wanting a snack at the end of the session. The B course includes 4 photos. I selected 8 of the ~250 shots that were taken and paid extra for the additional 4 photos. There is option to have the images printed and given to you on a CD rom or they can send it over the web. I opted for the second option as I was concerned about the CD and photos getting damaged on my flight back. They will retouch it and send in the next month. Thanks for this special experience!
