Summer Palace tours

Wonderful experience! I warmly recommend this tour. Jessie was amazing! A wealth of knowledge, interesting, funny, and witty. She shared lots of fascinating tidbits and fun facts, not only about the Summer Palace but also about Chinese culture as a whole. She was very calm and never in a hurry, allowing us to enjoy the tour to the fullest. Her English was perfect, and she was very enjoyable company. If you’re planning a tour here, ask for her, believe me (I tried more guided tours here in china), it’s totally worth it!!

The tour guide assigned to us was very friendly and knowledgable about the historical areas. As we are a small group, I felt that this tour was more laid back and chill, which I prefer. Considering this was a whole day tour, I would say this is as excellent value for money.

Our tour guide Michael was very accommodating and knowledgeable! The Mutianyu Great Wall is well worth the visit! Our family took both the cable car round trip and the chair lift and toboggan to see different stations. What a wonderful experience!

Huge place. Guides were quite clear. Weather was very hot so it was a good idea to top up for the boat ride and tram.

I booked the Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace experience and it was amazing! Our guide, Yoyo, was wonderful, knowledgeable, patient and kind, always making sure everyone could enjoy the experience. The tour started with a bus from central Beijing to the Great Wall. During the journey, Yoyo explained how to make the most of our time and helped with tickets. I loved that we were free to explore independently. I did the toboggan experience (do it first) and then took the cable car and climbed up to Watchtower 21. The views were incredible, and exploring at my own pace made it even better. We then visited the Summer Palace, where Yoyo gave us an excellent guided tour with lots of interesting history. I also joined the optional Old Summer Palace tour, which was fascinating, especially seeing the remarkable ruins I had previously seen in history books. Thank you, Yoyo, for making this experience and helping me get a taxi home! I highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend this Great Wall Exploration with Mubus. Our guide Derek was very friendly , helpful and knowledgeable. Booked with lunch package and the food was superb!Delicous and lots of options to choose from.The journey to the Great Wall was full of fun.

The tour started on time and both guides Amy and MA have coordinated with us a day before the scheduled tour. They both explained very clearly the history of the Forbidden City and Summer Palace. MA even accompany us to the Bird Nest after the Summer Palace tour. We are very appreciated.

I was impressed by the fluent English and the detailed explanations of Chinese history. The group tour allowed us to use the fast track, quickly passing through security checks, which saved us time compared to an individual tour. This meant we had more time to explore the historical sites. However, because the pace was quite fast, it was a bit difficult for our group, which included a child, to keep up, especially in the middle and later parts of the tour. Although the guide waited for us periodically to ensure no one got separated, considering we walked over 10,000 steps three times, I would recommend this tour to those who are reasonably fit.
