I think I was extremely fortunate to join this tour. If you want to experience the wonders of northern Yunnan, including trekking along Hutiaoxia (tiger leaping gorge), marvelous Shangrila temples, golden dawn of Meili mountain, this is the must-go trip. I have travelled Beijing, Shanghai, Xian, Luoyang, Dongbei region, Xiamen and Quanzhou, even Xinjiang, this was the best trip so far in China. I am also very grateful to the tour organizer for arranging very nice hotels with limited budget. I was able to communicate with the guide with my limited Chinese, so it is better to make sure you are accompanying with an English speaking guide or tour participants ahead of time. But I think if you have a wechat account, you will be able to communicate with the guide anyhow. Thank you Yang Shifu!

The driver also acts as a hiking guide and is very responsible for the tourists in the group. They are well-organized and often call to confirm the location of group members.

I'm so lucky to have signed up for this tour. The driver, Mr. Yang, is very reliable and responsible, and it's safe and comfortable to ride in his car. The hiking guide, Mr. Yuan, is also very experienced and knows the route and photo spots like the back of his hand. I'm very satisfied with all the arrangements, whether it's the itinerary or the hotels. As a first-time solo traveler to the highlands, I felt very safe, and I was also lucky to meet friendly and lovely tour members and roommates.

This trip to "Hide Away in Shangri-La" was truly the most comfortable family vacation we've taken recently. The scenery along the way was so beautiful it left us speechless, from the layers of flowing clouds to the towering snow-capped mountains. Every stretch of road felt like driving through a painting. The tranquility and magnificence truly cleansed our souls. I especially want to praise our driver and guide, Master Sanfeng. The winding mountain roads in Yunnan are extremely challenging to drive, with many twists and turns, but he drove very steadily, making us feel very safe and efficient even on complex sections. Master Sanfeng is a very honest person. He reminded us to avoid shopping traps at the scenic spots and even took us to several lesser-known viewpoints that you can't even find on navigation apps. We avoided the crowds and were able to face the magnificent mountains directly. The sense of awe was truly unparalleled. Because we had itinerary changes mid-trip, the driver specially helped us optimize a more comfortable route. He was incredibly attentive and always asked us if we were experiencing altitude sickness, paying attention to our physical condition throughout the trip. Being able to appreciate such pure Yunnan scenery was all thanks to meeting the reliable Master Sanfeng. This trip was complete and without regrets!

It's a long journey, but the driver safely took me to the tourist spot. You can enjoy the Ancient Tea Horse Road of Yunnan Province even in the car, and the sunrise is also spectacular. If you have the opportunity, be sure to participate and experience the Yellow Stone of China.

The driver's driving skills were excellent! The trip involved a lot of driving, but I didn't get carsick at all 🚗. Plus, the introductions were very detailed and great. I made new friends during the whole trip and even saw the Golden Mountain of Rizhao 🏔️. So lucky! If I travel again in the future, I will definitely choose this place again. It was really worth the trip!

Amazing tour! first of all, the tour guide 熊三 helped us a lot. We are Korean and we can’t speak Chinese at all. 熊三 and us was communicating with translate app and it worked well. 熊三 is Lijiang local so he told us many stories about culture of Yunman. we can feel Lijiang local’s welcome and warm heart from him. he is really friendly guy and helped us not to get scammed and took care us well. Secondly, the tour is well planed to enjoy nature and not tight schedule. we could have chill holiday. we couldn’t go Haba snow mountain because of government policy but the replaced accommodation had amazing view. generally all accommodations were great and the owners welcomed us. i highly recommend this tour to foreigners like us
