The driver was Raymond, and the best Korean-tailored bullet delivery driver👍 If I could speak English well, I think I would have enjoyed Hobbiton and the cave more while listening to the guide's explanation, but I had to go around as I pleased, so it was a little disappointing. The scenery was amazing, and I was satisfied with the pictures I took at every place I went, and the price was much cheaper than other packages, so it was the most satisfying trip. Honestly, I'm not sure if I would go again if I had the chance, but I think I wouldn't regret going at least once.

We met a very friendly tour guide! His name is Mike👍🏻👍🏻I carelessly lost my scarf in the Cave then he helped to send me the scarf directly to my motel. Bravo👏🏻👏🏻

This group departed from Auckland at 6am. It may not be the peak tourist season, there were only three of us, so it was considered a private tour. The tour bus has 10 seats (not including the driver and the co-driver), which is very spacious. The driver of this group, Raymond, was very friendly and briefly introduced the itinerary for today. Since it was still early, the journey took two and a half hours from Auckland Sky City Hotel, and we could catch up on sleep in the car. When we were about to visit Hobbiton, Raymond introduced the background of Hobbiton and led us to board the tour bus for a guided tour arranged by the park. The tour guide Emma was friendly and dedicated. She worked hard to introduce Hobbiton even when it was raining heavily. Due to the rain, we could not stay outdoors for too long, which was a pity. If you are a fan of the Hobbit movie, you will definitely be satisfied. At the end of the guided tour, there were free drinks to enjoy. In addition, the easter egg was that the park was undergoing maintenance and optimization projects, and each person who completed the guided tour was given a commemorative cup. Later we went to the Glowworm Cave. I had read about it online and it was worth a visit. Unfortunately, due to the rain, we couldn’t visit the entire cave by boat. What a pity.

It was great. There was a table with GreatSights and staff near the Sky Tower, the meeting place, early in the morning. After checking in, you will be given water and biscuits. Along the way, the driver and tour guide will introduce the scenery along the way and New Zealand stories. It was professional and safe. The time was well managed and not too rushed and there was plenty of time. The lunch box was delicious.

The day before departure, we received a letter asking us what time to pick up, and we would wait downstairs at the hotel. The driver arrived five minutes early and asked the hotel staff to call us to inform us that we had arrived. It was great. The driver was very knowledgeable and introduced the history and cultural changes of New Zealand, as well as information about the Hobbit Village along the way. He also provided water and biscuits, which was very kind. The Hobbit Village is really beautiful and worth visiting!

It was a bit expensive but it was amazing! Specially if you are LOTR/The Hobbit fan. Highlight of my trip to Auckland.

The Hobbiton experience was honestly magical — it felt like the New Zealand I’ve always known. The scenery looked like it was pulled straight out of a storybook, with every little detail so beautifully done. But what really made the day special was our driver and tour guide, David. Hands down, the best I’ve ever known. He was kind, funny, and just full of knowledge. You could tell he really loves what he does. Hearing him talk about New Zealand’s history and culture made the whole experience even more meaningful.
