Things to do in Gunja Station

An amusement park that's bigger than expected. You first enter a building with three floors. On the bottom floor, there's an ice rink for ice skating. On the first and second levels, there are roller coasters like a ship, Sinbad Adventure, and 3D roller coasters. A parade with K-pop music also takes place in the building. However, we recommend going up the rocks as early as possible to get to Magic Island outside. There, you'll find roller coasters for adults, such as the Haunted House (admission for this attraction costs extra and can be purchased at the castle). The indoor area is more for children. The food stalls are super delicious. We recommend the churros and the yogurt snack. We visited on a Monday, and the wait times were really short in the early morning/afternoon. In the late afternoon, however, you might have to wait for half an hour.

We had a great experience at Lumiere Perfume Making. It’s a lovely place with excellent staff. Our instructor, Mr. Rei, was very patient, attentive, and truly made the session enjoyable. Overall, the experience was fantastic—we were so happy with how our perfumes turned out that we even upgraded our package. Highly recommended!

Dongdaemun Sparex is the best! It's affordable, clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is also incredibly easy to find. Dongdaemun Design Plaza is right across the street. You can easily find it by taking the elevator down to the third basement floor of the building. They don't provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, or scrubbing towels, so it's a good idea to bring your own. If you forget, they sell them at the entrance, which is convenient. For women, mugwort steaming is highly recommended! It costs 2,000 yen. It feels incredibly good and makes you sweat a lot. After that, getting a body scrub is the best! On the fourth basement floor, there's also a food court, a jjimjilbang (Korean sauna), and a relaxation area where you can unwind. Going in the morning is recommended as it's less crowded.

The place was really calm and peaceful while the teacher was very patient and helpful throughout the whole process. There are many colorful pieces and using the different shapes made from abalone shell was really interesting.

You can use the self-service ticket machine (with Chinese language option) next to the lobby on the 9th floor to exchange tickets. The bathhouse only provides bar soap, and the hairdryer costs 200 Korean Won for 180 seconds of use. On the 8th floor, there's a food court (with self-order kiosks) and a public lounge area. The overall environment is very clean, and it wasn't crowded or noisy on the day I visited; it was very quiet.

The food tour was fantastic. Throughout the day, I tried many traditional Korean dishes with the guide, Yun, who provided excellent background on all the meals and a fun tour. also had a few vegetarian options which still made the tour enjoyable for my partner

I had such a relaxing experience at Eco Jardin Spa in Seoul. The space itself is really nice and calming, and the whole treatment felt super refreshing. I originally planned to do the 15-step scalp treatment, but ended up upgrading to the 18-step since I’m in Korea and wanted the full experience, especially because my hair is dyed and needed a little extra care. Honestly, I’m glad I did it. The 18-step felt really thorough and left my scalp feeling super clean and my hair soft and refreshed. The only thing that felt a little iffy was the pricing. The base treatment is already on the higher side, and the add-ons for extra hair treatments can get pretty expensive quickly, so just be prepared to spend a lot here. Overall though, it was a great experience and definitely worth trying at least once if you’re in Korea and want a full scalp care moment

I came by myself to escape the heat and create a perfume I know I will actually enjoy and it was so fun! I had the whole place to myself but it has a great relaxing atmosphere and the video was very easy to follow along. It offers two different ways to select your perfume and you can really take your time with the samples to make sure you make the best choice. Mixing up the samples really satisfied the part of me that loves chemistry too 😂 the lady working was so kind and helpful, it's great value money for the experience and you can take something personal home to actually use. I really recommend it.

First time watching a baseball match real live and it was very interesting experience! We first met up with the guide and the rest of the group at the sports complex station at 4pm, and walked around 10min to kychon chicken nearby for early dinner. We shared 4 baskets of chicken with 4 other foreigners from USA/Scotland and it was fun interacting with them. A cup of beer was served during dinner, they will offer drinks if you don’t take alcohol. Afterwhich we walked over to the Jamsil station which is 10min away to watch the match, it was a great experience listening to all the Korean cheer for their favourite team, singing along with actions. Had a great view of the cheerleader dancing too. Great job to Twins for winning the game.
