Things to do in Mont Saint-Michel

I joined a tour to Mont-Saint-Michel. We met near the Eiffel Tower before 7:00 AM and took a bus. Most of the tour participants were Japanese. When we arrived at Mont-Saint-Michel and walked along the narrow path leading to the stone abbey, it felt like we had wandered into a medieval world. The tranquility and mystical atmosphere left a lasting impression on me.

For a day trip to Mont Saint-Michel, I highly recommend this tour without hesitation!!

Amelia was the best! She had so much information about Normandy during the trip and was super organised about our logistics. The tour was informative and overwhelming in a good way!

We have tour conductors who speak French, Italian, and English. If you are Japanese and do not understand the language, you can record it once with a voice recorder, put it in a file, and have the AI read the file to translate it.

Because the reservation was for an early morning meeting time, I purposely stayed at a hotel near the meeting place. The bus was a very large, double-decker bus and was comfortable. The guide told us various stories along the way in French and Spanish, and explained important points (such as local meeting times and rest stop information) in English, so I didn't miss anything. Furthermore, they checked with each person individually at each seat, and since it was after 9:00 PM on the way back, they even made sure we had transportation back to the hotel. We had free time at Mont Saint-Michel, but the time was just right and we were able to fully enjoy it. On the way there and back, we stopped at a service area once each time for a restroom break and a snack time of about 30 minutes. The restrooms at the service area were very clean, but they were the type without toilet seats. Overall, it was a very good tour. If I have the opportunity to go again, I would like to book the same tour.

Having visited Paris many times, I've always wanted to pilgrimage to Mont Saint-Michel to experience its unique architectural style and history. Tour guide Liu is very professional and has a wealth of knowledge. Along the way, he shared the history of France and the story of the holy mountain, giving us a deeper understanding of Paris, Normandy, and Mont Saint-Michel. It's a pity the weather wasn't good, and I appreciate the driver driving in the rain and safely transporting us. The dumplings they provided were delicious! Highly recommended!
