Trincomalee

One of the best places to visit on the northeast coast of Sri Lanka is the port city of Trincomalee. You can spend a relaxing day under the sun at Uppuveli or Nilaveli Beach, walk along soft white sands, go swimming, and maybe spot some whales jumping out of the water if you’re lucky. If you want to discover the local fauna, you can visit Pigeon Island National Park and marvel at intricate rock formations and the rare rock pigeons calling it home. You can also immerse yourself in the soul-soothing waters of the Kanniya Hot Springs.
