It was an interesting concept where guests remove their shoes and place them in lockers at the lobby. The entire hotel, from the lobby to the guest room corridors, was covered with tatami mats, creating a cozy and authentic Japanese atmosphere. Check-in was fast and efficient, and the room size was very decent. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary cup noodles. The onsen was one of the highlights of our stay. The public bath was spacious enough and never felt overcrowded. In addition, there were seven private onsen baths available for guests. Free ice cream was provided on the 13th floor, which is also where the onsen is located. Laundry facilities are available on the 7th floor. The washing machines are free to use, and guests only need to pay for the dryer. A complimentary noodle supper is served daily from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM, which was a nice touch after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The unique tatami concept, excellent onsen facilities, and thoughtful complimentary services made for a comfortable and memorable experience.

My stay at Onyado Nono Beppu was nothing short of incredible. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the level of hospitality and the flawless attention to detail. The Onsen selection was simply amazing. The variety and quality of the baths made for an incredibly relaxing and authentic experience. It’s the perfect place to unwind. They truly haven't forgotten a single thing. Every minor detail, from the amenities to the layout and comfort of the hotel, has been thoughtfully curated to make guests feel at home. It's super convenient to the train station and main bus bus Terminal and brilliantly situated for restaurants and entertainment, that made it incredibly easy to explore the area. Every single staff member I encountered was amazing—professional, warm, and endlessly helpful. If you are coming to Beppu, do yourself a favor and stay here. I couldn't recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to come back!

Great onsen hotel near the Beppu station. No shoes allowed in the hotel which is unique. 7 private onsens plus public baths were available. Free ramen is provided for supper. There’s massage chairs available for use too. Very comfortable stay except light in room is by sensor which is rather annoying. But all in all, still enjoyed my stay and will look to stay here if I ever come back

Phenomenal breakfast, superb Japanese style room, excellent staff.

A super busy hotel with many tourists. Many with families. These families can be quite loud. Some groups have no manners. The staff does a great job, dispite having to work with rude tourists. The room was nice old school Japanese. Everything is pretty low in the room. Beds are firm, yet comfortable. The onsen area on the 13th floor is next level! Huge sauna, many baths and free treats when you are done. Steps from the JR station. I highly recommend this hotel. Just be prepared for it to be somewhat crowded. Also, no shoes allowed in entire hotel. You put them in lockers when you enter. I would definitely stay here again.

Every aspect was superb. I was sceptical about the high ratings but after my stay, I get it - everything from the amenities to breakfast to the thoughtful design of the rooms to the location was top-notch. I was sad to leave. Hope to be back soon!
