Yilan is truly Taipei's back garden. The hotel is located in Luodong Township, within walking distance of the railway station, transit station, and Luodong Night Market. The hotel rooms feature hot spring bathtubs, offering an exceptionally relaxing bathing experience with views of the Pacific Ocean and the expansive Lanyang Plain. When the weather is nice, you can even catch a glimpse of Turtle Island in the distance. The Starlight Bar on the 24th floor offers phenomenal views.

The Lakeshore Hotel Yilan is a bit out of the way, and if you don't have your own car, transportation isn't very convenient. There aren't many shops nearby either. Compared to other Lakeshore hotels, it lacks hot springs and sauna facilities, which is a bit of a shame. The breakfast is excellent, but the evening snacks are quite ordinary.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my family. It is very child-friendly, with spacious rooms and facilities that made travelling with a young child much easier and more enjoyable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always helpful whenever we needed assistance. The location is another big plus. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and convenience stores within walking distance, making it very convenient to grab meals or daily necessities. Public transport is also easily accessible, so getting around the city was hassle-free. Overall, it's a fantastic choice for families with children. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, family-friendly hotel in a convenient location.

Der Unterkunfts-Bereich ist recht groß und besteht aus zweistöckigen traditionellen Häusern. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist jedoch nicht veraltet, sondern komfortabel. Neu und alt, Tradition und Moderne verschmelzen hier perfekt. Während des Aufenthalts kann man den Park jederzeit betreten und verlassen. Abends, obwohl alle Geschäfte geschlossen sind, hat ein nächtlicher Spaziergang durch das Kulturzentrum einen ganz besonderen Reiz. Obwohl der Frühstücksbereich nicht so geräumig ist wie in Tainan, sind alle klassischen Yambao-Gerichte vorhanden. Es ist immer wieder ein unvergesslicher Genuss!

Der Aufenthalt war fantastisch! Die Lage des Hotels ist super, man kann den Luodong Nachtmarkt bequem zu Fuß erreichen. Nach dem Essen kann man direkt zurück ins Zimmer gehen, ohne sich Gedanken über Parkplätze machen zu müssen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel, das Bett war sehr bequem und die Schalldämmung war besser als erwartet. Für diesen Preis sind die gesamte Ausstattung und die Annehmlichkeiten tadellos, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist hoch. Beim nächsten Mal in Luodong werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten!

Die Lage ist sehr praktisch, ganz in der Nähe des Luodong Forestry Culture Park, des Bahnhofs Luodong und des Nachtmarkts. Leider rauchten mitten in der Nacht andere Gäste, und der Flur sowie das Zimmer rochen extrem nach Rauch, was sehr unangenehm war. Wir konnten die ganze Nacht nicht schlafen, und als wir es an der Rezeption meldeten, wurde der Bereich lediglich kurz kontrolliert.

The soundproofing in the room isn't great; you can clearly hear children running or people walking heavily on the stairs, especially late at night. The bed is too short for tall people and is also quite light and soft, making it easy to shake. The water pressure in the bathroom sink is too low and inconvenient to use. The wooden room decor is nice, and the late-night snacks are delicious—the tangyuan (glutinous rice balls), scallion pancakes, rice noodle soup, and black tea are all excellent. The activities like making tangyuan, playing with spinning tops, releasing sky lanterns, and stargazing are also wonderfully organized. 👍 If the room issues were improved, it would be even better.

The room I booked had many pictures, all showing bathtubs in the foreground. When I got the room card for the second floor, I had a bad feeling, as experience tells me it would be noisy, especially since the hotel is next to Luodong Night Market. However, it turns out that being near the night market but separated by a street actually kept it quiet. Still, not having a bathtub was quite disappointing. Upon closer inspection of the room photos, I noticed that pictures of rooms with only a shower stall appeared further down. Many hotels, like the Kailan Hotel where I stayed the day before in Toucheng, offer both a bathtub and a shower. Furthermore, while I can overlook not providing amenities, there was no hand soap at the sink. Do guests really need to bring their own hand soap? That concludes my complaints about the facilities. The staff, however, were all very friendly and polite. Although there was a small issue during check-in, it was resolved quickly. The breakfast was decent, neither outstanding nor poor. My only real complaint is that for a latte, they provide espresso from a machine and then you have to get cold milk from the cereal area yourself. First, this lowers the temperature, and second, there's no foam, so it's not really a latte.
