Booking guidelines
- Book at least 7 business day(s) before you intend to receive your rail pass
- The name, country of residence, and passport numbers entered when booking must be an exact match to the passports used when boarding
- This pass is for non- European residents only. You must currently be staying in a different country for 6 + months and provide proof of residence (visa/residence card) and proof of citizenship (passport)
- Proof of citizenship can be established by a passport. Proof of residence can be established by government issued residency documents, e.g. visa, residence card
- Your country of residence and passport number will be printed on the pass, so please make sure you fill in the accurate information upon checkout
- If you have resided in country A for over 6 months, but are a passport-holder of country B, you can either fill in A as your country of residence at checkout and provide your passport and proof of residence while on the train, or fill in B as your country of residence at checkout and provide your passport while on the train
Pass eligibility
- Important: Indicate the total number of adults and children aged 0-11 when booking
- Up to 2 children aged 0-11 travel free of charge for every adult with an Adult Pass (not applicable for the Senior Pass)
- If more than 2 children are traveling with 1 adult, a separate Youth Pass must be purchased for each additional child

Zugreisen in Schweden sind nicht billig, also haben wir einen 4-Tages-Flexi-Pass gekauft, der gerade ausreicht, um uns durch die verschiedenen Orte zu führen, die wir anvisiert haben. Dieser Pass war "flexibel genug", um kurzfristige Änderungen an unserer Reiseroute zu ermöglichen. Da wir es nicht online validiert haben (was heutzutage mit der Eurail Pass-Website möglich ist), mussten wir vor unserem ersten Reisetag den Bahnhofsschalter finden, um dies zu tun. Es gibt also Vor- und Nachteile, ob Sie es vor der Reise online validieren sollten. Wenn Ihre Pläne feststehen und sich wahrscheinlich nicht ändern, spart die Online-Validierung auf der Eurail-Pass-Website Zeit bei der Suche nach einer Station, um sie zu validieren. In unserem Fall haben wir am Stockholmer Flughafen einige Zeit damit verschwendet, nach dem Schalter zu suchen, um ihn zu validieren. Leider konnten wir nach der Validierung die gewünschte Zugstrecke nicht buchen, ohne einen Aufpreis für "Express" zu zahlen, da die normale Strecke ausgebucht war.
Wenn der Plan bereits festgelegt ist, sparen Sie Zeit und Mühe, sich anzustellen, um Tickets am Schalter oder Automaten zu kaufen. Stellen Sie einfach sicher, dass Sie Ihren Pass sicher aufbewahren, nachdem Sie ihn validiert haben.
Bei der Reservierung von Sitzplätzen im Zug fallen sehr hohe Buchungsgebühren an. Definitiv nicht zu empfehlen. Wird davon abraten, EuroRail-Reisen in Schweden zu nutzen.
