This location is affordable with zero charm. It's very corporate looking. There were a lot of tour groups and high school groups staying here. Having said that, the location was great. The room was clean. The staff was very nice, there were only so many fans to go around. Keep in mind the rooms are stuffy and there is no air conditioning.

This hotel is enormous: judging by the large tour groups we saw there, it must cater to them. Despite this, rooms manage to stay relatively quiet, are clean and well kept up. Still, it's a pretty generic experience. The biggest downside is breakfast, which is very crowded and VERY noisy. For crowd control, a worker controls access to the room, and another assigns you a seat. It felt like cattle being herded.

WiFi was slow but overall a good stay. This is a quite busy hotel with lots of people. Also it is close to the Russell Square underground station which is good but you may have to transfer to another line pretty often in order to get to most places around London. So not a bad location but just keep that in mind!

This place was a 1star charging 3 or 4 star prices. The walls were super thin so VERY noisy, the rooms held in the heat so with80F outside, it was 100F inside, no AC, no air flow. Check-in was understaffed. It was half-clean. I actually left and paid for a new hotel.

Needed to get a new key card everyday because they would stop working. Room was like a sauna, we slept with cold towels over us. Ran out of toilet paper multiple times and when we asked for more they would never show up with any. Staff were rude most of the time

Property has a good pub/ pizza+ cafe downstairs and if you get a renovated room (we stayed in an old and renovated one over the course of 4 weeks) you may have a half decent stay and is in a decent location. If it’s hot, you want to keep any food or drinks cool good luck. There is zero air conditioning the place was stinking hot and deadly uncomfortable and they don’t have enough fans to give out, seriously? And you can’t buy any drinks/ food from them or anywhere else cause you can’t keep them cool or safe cause there’s no mini fridge, again seriously? For what you pay those two things are basic necessity of life and we won’t be returning.

This is really a review of 2 halves. First the good- central location, tube 2 minutes away good value, really clean rooms, bedding and bathroom. Comfy beds and lovely bathroom and shower. The not so good- I do appreciate we stayed during a heatwave. We were told during check in that the hotel has no air con and the rooms are hot. However we could have a fan, so ok they are making an effort. We were out all afternoon and evening, when we got back no fan, then told none available. Why then, were we offered one?! The room was pushing 34°, I very nearly packed and went home. The hotel is massive and clearly caters for foreign student holidays. It was so noisy and felt like a holiday camp. At 4am it sounded like a riot outside, and I've happily stayed in Times Square hotels in New York. If noise and heat don't bother you then it's perfect. I'm afraid I won't be staying again.
