After a few busy days in Tokyo, it was a nice change of pace to be in Hakodate. The hotel is in a great location that’s walking distance from the train station. And also to the brick warehouse shopping area and fish market. We also used the onsen at the hotel. It’s included in your stay. It was our very first time for our family. We didn’t know there was a little tote bag we could take up with us to the onsen. Also remember to bring a towel from your room. I wanted to book a massage but it was fully booked. You have to pay separately for the massage. Rates were very reasonable. Plan ahead next time. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was excellent. They are famous for the seafood parfait with ikura, shrimp, salmon, tuna. There’s also Wagyu too at the breakfast. Definitely worth it for around $23 usd per person. We would definitely come back again.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights at this hotel. It was our 2nd trip to Hakodate, and our first time staying at the Hakodate Kokusai Hotel. The connecting rooms with 2 beds each provided enough space for the 4 of us. The location was very convenient to the station and access to local shops. The public bath facilities were great to relieve the stress of travel, and it came with free popsicles which was an added treat. The breakfast buffet had so many choices that we couldn't believe it! We loved it. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again - highly recommend!

特に朝食バイキングが圧巻でした。西館に泊まりましたが、本館・東館の雰囲気が素晴らしく、予約時にどの館になるのかがわかると有難いなとおもいました。

The room is very outdated and doesn’t look like their advertised photos at all. The lobby is located in the newer building but the room they put us in was actually in an older building. Everything inside the room was very old with strangely bad smell. There was strong cigarette smell inside the elevators. I wish the hotel could been more honest and done a better job at disclosing their current room conditions so customers know what they get themselves into. Please do your own research before booking this hotel.

お風呂が最上階、見晴らしが良く、広く綺麗で気持ちよかったです。 お部屋も清潔，広く気分が良かったです。 函館出身の家族が愛用してますので、こちらを選びました。 また、来たいです。 ありがとうございます。

西館に宿泊したが、空調が集中コントロールとなっており部屋では風量の強弱しかできなかった。　室内の温度計を確認し28℃を上回る室温になっておりフロントに連絡してもエアコンへの切り替えは5月中旬頃からしか行わないとの事で窓を開けてくださいと言われたが室温は快適に感じるほど下がらず扇風機を持ってきてくれたが快適には過ごせなかった。

Clean and beautiful rooms, great location

We stayed in two different rooms. Both had ocean views, but the corner view room was in the tower closer to the bay and had a much better view. They have two restaurant options for breakfast. Very good food, with lots of options. Onsen is on the 13th floor. Large rooms for the price.
