Great stay at Hotel Livemax! The staff was friendly and was able to communicate with me and my girlfriend who was traveling from the U.S. The location is right next to a convenience store and not too far of a walk from the station. It was the perfect central location for our time to explore Japan.

Stayed 13 days at Live Max with no issues. Room was very clean and staff super helpful. Hotel was a short work to one of Ueno's station entrance so it was very convenient.

When I booked via Expedia, there's no option about non-smoking or smoking. When I saw my room was for smoking, I emailed the hotel but they never answered. When arrived, they said I couldn't be changed. Cigarette smells the whole hotel!

For my fellow Americans, please realize hotel rooms in Tokyo are small. This hotel is no except. But it was clean and close to the Ueno train station. Staff spoke English well and checkin and out was no problem. It’s clean and functional. Good if you just want a crash pad which our family wanted. It’s also hard to find a hotel that will allow 4 people in 1 room. 3 seems to be the max.

Convenient hotel to rest for a nice before taking Sinkensen to Hokkaido. Good dining options around. And it is the very few pet friendly options around Ueno.

The room is fine, perfect size for one person. Very clean. Very close to the train station and 2 small shops. Close to the market and lots of restaurants.

The room was not in great condition, coffee stains on the wall, table is scuffed all over. The construction noises early in the morning.

Very close to Ueno Station and easy to transfer to the Narito airport. Also close to the Tokyo National Museums. Lots of good restaurants in the area.
