We were extremely disappointed with our stay at Palazzo Bellini in Catania. We booked this B&B because of its excellent reviews, so we were genuinely surprised that our experience was so different.
There was no one at the property when we arrived. Instead, all of the check-in instructions were sent via WhatsApp. While this worked, it felt very impersonal for a bed and breakfast.
The room was not clean. The bedsheets had hairs and stains, the towels were stained, had a blue/green tinge, and smelled unpleasant. The shower was dirty with visible grime, and the alternating colour LED light in the shower was a strange touch that didn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness. The bedside table was also coming away from the wall, making the room feel poorly maintained.
The Expedia listing advertised a 24/7 airport shuttle, but this simply meant the hosts would arrange a taxi, which is not a shuttle service. Breakfast was also served at a café around the corner rather than at the B&B, something that wasn’t made clear when booking.
We always rely on reviews when choosing accommodations, so this stay was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, due to the cleanliness, poor maintenance, misleading listing, and impersonal experience, we would not stay here again or recommend it.

Place was super clean olace, great ac, view if the park (villa bellibi). two convenience stores right around the corner. Also close to the main street, where one can find ATMs and such. Easilt accessible as well, even without a car. We took an alibus from the airport to the stop "etnea poste" and then just walked 7minutes or so. We rhought the limited reception hours would be problematic, but they fixed all of our problems regardless.

This was a very good location to stay in when visiting Catania. The hotel is tidy and has a nice shared terrace area and kitchenette with coffee, tea and treats. The cleaners were lovely and helpful!

This Band B is nothing like its advertised. I chose it mainly because it said there was 24 hour airport transfer available. There was not. An agent messaged me on WhatsApp and said she would order us a taxi and that it would be 22 euros. It was 25. The property is only staffed from 9am to noon. We had to get codes to enter. It looks like they're trying to install a lift but it's not operational. The stair case up is dark and dirty with dead plants in pots
The room was. The bed was soft but the pillows were lumpy and hard. The bedside shelf was broken and hanging from the wall. On the positive side, it was air-conditioned, and located next to a nice park.

Palazzo Bellini is a centric place with large, clean and spacious rooms. For the moment the stairs rail and area is under construction or remodeling. My room was on a third floor with a small and nice balcony to the street, although tired to go back to the room after exiting in the morning. The only people I had interaction was with the cleaning ladies or through WhatsApp.
Breakfast was serve in a coffee shop, in the corner and it was very good.

I enjoyed my stay, was very quiet so managed to sleep well. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean. The breakfast was outside in a cafe very near the hotel which was open 24 hours, so you could have breakfast any time you want which was ideal if you had an early moring excursion planned.

This place is terrible. The bed is terrible, the location is rough, the staff is terrible. Over all the experience was terrible.
We were promised breakfast, and there was a half working coffee machine and a couple wrapped muffins that were not restocked. The room had bugs, and they did not go away. The bathtub was disgusting and took forever to fill up. Also a moth flew out of a jet when we turned it on. The bed was terrible to sleep on and folded like a taco. My wife and I didn’t sleep well at all. The sheets on the bed kept coming off because they were too small on the bed.
If that wasn’t the worse part, they claimed to need a “tourist tax” the day before we checked out. This was not included in the listing and was really aggravating. It’s not the end of the world to pay 30 euro, but it was just dishonest. When I tried to say it wasn’t in the listing they showed up to the room demanding to pay. The staff also was never on site unless they needed our money. The TV also wouldn’t connect to the WiFi and so you were limited to prime video for entertainment. Not the end of the world but this place boasted “free WiFi.” The bed side tables were being held on by two screws into drywall. One strong push and they fell off.
This was a miserable experience. Do not go here. Save your money.
The few good things were that the shower was nice, and they restocked towels. They also gave us a few meal vouchers for a coffee shop down the road. That place I would highly recommend.

Very nicely renovated space inside a larger older building. More of a B&B than a full service hotel but priced accordingly. Be sure to clarify your arrival time.
