Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen ture

Vores guide var Wantana, og hun talte flydende engelsk og mandarin. Turbussen var stor og komfortabel. Vi fik set mange smukke templer. Vores guide delte historien/baggrunden for hvert sted. Det regnede kraftigt sidst på eftermiddagen, og vi var glade for, at bussen havde paraplyer til rådighed, men vi blev stadig gennemblødte 😅.

I booked this tour because I wanted to see the newly repainted Pink Ganesha. You can wait inside the meeting point cafe, but those who aren't buying any drinks are told to sit on chairs near the entrance. Buying a drink got us seated at a better table. Since the Ganesha is far away, and considering the heat and weather, I'm really glad I took a tour. Our guide, Jenny, gave great explanations and had a wonderful smile. We were told there wouldn't be time for a sit-down lunch, so we chose either pork or chicken for a boxed meal to eat in the car and paid for it at the initial check-in. The boxed meal was delicious, and it was nice that they handed out water, too. We got caught in a traffic jam on the way back and were a bit late, so anyone with subsequent plans should be careful. After the tour dispersed, I went shopping at the Big C right nearby before heading home. Rest stop: There is a restroom break at the destination. Be careful, as the restrooms near the seated Ganesha aren't very good.

Vi deltog i en longtailbådtur på Chao Phraya-floden. Da vi tilfældigvis var de eneste på turen, brugte vores engelsktalende guide, Jackie, en japansk oversættelsesapp til at give os en detaljeret rundvisning i Wat Paknam og Wat Arun. Hun lærte os også, hvordan man beder, og viste os de bedste fotosteder, hvilket gjorde turen meget berigende. Undervejs på turen købte hun vand til os og lod vores børn prøve at fodre fiskene, så hun var virkelig venlig over for børnene. Turen i longtailbåden gav os et indblik i livet langs Bangkoks flodbred, og vi så også flere vandvaraner, hvilket begejstrede børnene meget.

En super sjov oplevelse at se det gamle Bangkok! Vi fik besøgt forskellige templer, markeder og havde en dejlig lille tur på kanalen. Morty var en sjov guide, der gav os gode billeder og masser af information om de steder, vi besøgte. Vil helt klart anbefale dette til alle, der kan lide at cykle og opdage Bangkoks lokale scenerier.

The itinerary was pleasant and fun. We love how the trip is not rushing that allow us some time to explore and have a delicious local lunch. The tour guide, Chao, is knowledgeable and excellent in his explanation especially at the Big Buddha. He helped us with photo taking during the journey too. We enjoy this memorable trip and highly recommend others who is looking for some sightseeing with boat experience in Bangkok.
