A very interesting and informative tour. The guide is native living in that area. She was very knowledgeable and her commentary was very clear.

Dagen før afrejse modtog vi en venlig e-mail med påmindelse om mødetid og -sted. Under køreturen fortalte guiden hele tiden om landskabet udenfor. Desuden kørte guiden os til vores destination og forklarede tydeligt næste mødetidspunkt. For mig, der ikke kører bil, er det bestemt et godt valg at deltage i en pålidelig lokal tur. På grund af trafikpropper på hjemturen var vi 1,5 time forsinkede, men guiden kørte alle deltagerne tilbage til deres hoteller én efter én. Efter aktiviteten modtog vi også en hjertevarm WhatsApp-besked fra rejsebureauet.

The Whakarewarewa is a living Maori village shaped by many geysers where they bathe and cook, among other activities. It's home to around 21 families today - which gave the tour an authentic feel. The power of their haka and other songs and dances from their live performance were spirit-lifting. Our village guide was a young clan chief who was knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. As for the Redwoods forest, it was walking among greatness. Take time to walk on the ground too, to fully experience these majesty of these trees. Wayne, the guide who drove us from Auckland to Rotorua showed us the beautiful New Zealand countryside landscape and was informative, helpful info too. All in all, this was a terrific and informative day trip. Well worth it.
