Kuranda Scenic Railway

Betjeningen var hurtig og bekvem. Toget gjorde holdt ved Barron Falls-stationen, så vi kunne se os omkring. Husk på, at vejret til tider kan blive blæsende (især når det går opad), så hav en let jakke og hue med dig. Ved ankomsten til Kuranda vil du have ca. 3-4 timer til at gå på opdagelse.

Udsigt over Daintree regnskoven fra himlen. Vi skiftede til 2-vejs svævebane, da togturen tilbage var ret sen, og vi boede i Port Douglas. Der var 3 stop, og vi kunne se Baron Falls samt gå rundt i Kuranda Village.

I chose the half-day tour with hotel-to-park transfer. (There's no on-site guidance, just the transfer! If you need a detailed guide, I recommend a different plan.) The crocodile show was incredibly impressive! Besides crocodiles, we saw many other animals like koalas and kangaroos. Since it was a half-day tour, we had to rush through the park a bit, which made it feel a little hectic.

Vores Kuranda-dagstur med Klook var en fantastisk og stressfri oplevelse fra start til slut. Afhentnings- og afleveringsbusservicen gjorde hele dagen bekvem og problemfri. Vi elskede Skyrail-oplevelsen, hvor vi svævede over den fantastiske regnskovsbaldakin med en utrolig udsigt. Glem ikke at gøre stop for at udforske regnskoven og udsigten til vandfaldene. Fuglevolieren var et højdepunkt, der gav mulighed for at se farverige tropiske fugle tæt på i Karunda landsby. Togturen tilbage var fornøjelig, og at lære om jernbanens fascinerende historie tilføjede endnu mere værdi. Alt i alt var det en velorganiseret og uforglemmelig dagstur.

Kuranda is a small town. Not as vibrant because not all shops open. Time is quite tight. Nice wildlife park. The 2 kangaroos are very docile and open for closeup photos. There are 2 staffs that came out to share about their animals (Jack and the blue tongue lizard). Boomerang throw is great fun. Highlight is the DUKW tour as the guide/driver shares their wealth of knowledge of the plants in the rainforest. Thumbs up! Great for whole family

Amphibious Duck Tour: For someone like me who can't understand fast native English, the guide's voice was like a sleeping pill, haha. I almost fell asleep, it was dangerous. Kuranda Scenic Railway: If you're not on the left-side window seat, the view is hard to see and you can't take pictures, haha. Waterfall: On the Kuranda Scenic Railway, you have 10 minutes to get off and see it, but if you want to enjoy it more, you should get off at the first Skyrail station.

It was a well-scheduled and efficient tour. The shuttle bus driver was extremely kind and patiently accommodated our poor English. We also added the koala-holding experience as an option. Although round-trip transportation was included, we took the train back on the return trip. It was a thoroughly satisfying day.

Kan varmt anbefale dette sted, når du besøger Kuranda! Koalaerne er bedårende, og parken har den helt rigtige størrelse – nem at udforske. Der er andre dyr i området, og du kan endda komme helt tæt på kænguruerne for at fodre dem.

The overall schedule was well-arranged; it was packed but not too rushed. We took the train up the mountain, and since the Skyrail was under maintenance, we rode a short section of it (still very spectacular) before taking a shuttle bus down. There were many rich and varied activities, including the Kuranda Market, an Aboriginal boomerang and dance performance, and instrument playing. There was also a World War II amphibious vehicle experience. Overall, it was very worthwhile! I also added on the koala holding experience, which was super cute! The tour guide also provided explanations along the way!
