Absolutely wonderful yukata experience in Asakusa We had such a lovely experience at KIMONO-U! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful from start to finish. The yukata selection was beautiful, and the dressing process was smooth and professional. We especially loved that the package included the in-store self-photo studio, where we could take our own photos with fun Japanese accessories like umbrellas and fans. It was such a fun and memorable experience, and we got some really beautiful photos to remember the day. The location is also perfect for exploring Asakusa in yukata. Everything was well organised, and the staff made us feel comfortable throughout the whole experience. If you’re visiting Tokyo and want to experience wearing a yukata, I highly recommend KIMONO-U! 💕🇯🇵 It was one of the highlights of our trip and definitely something I would do again!

I had so much fun with this experience. The staffs are accomodating and kind. They are also very helpful and would recommend options for you. The packages comes with a yukata, accessories and free hairstyle that is so cute. The best part is you can also take a photo at their studio for free. thank you. definitely recommendable.

클록 특가가격으로 유카타 10벌중에 골랐습니다. 추가금을 내지 않고도 머리와 오비 장식등을 예쁘게 입혀주셔서 너무 좋았어요. 센소지 바로 앞이라 반납하기도 좋았고, 큰 캐리어도 기꺼이 보관해주셨습니다. 기차시간을 잘못계산하여 예약시간보다 1시간정도 늦었지만 체험하는데 문제가 없었습니다. 한국인 리뷰가 적어 걱정했는데 가게에 왜 사람이 더 없는지 의문일정도로 친절하셨습니다. 다음에 겨울에 오게되면 기모노도 여기서 빌리고싶습니다.

The photography inside the studio and outside were on point! I did not know how to pose and they guided me how to. The process was efficient and I felt comfortable with the shoot despite being an introvert 😂. The communications were smooth and the output was gorgeous. I can't believe it was me because I don't usually look too good in photos. For someone who struggles to see their self in the mirror everyday, I appreciate how they made me feel pretty in photos. Thank you very much! The quality photos were definitely worth it! They're souvenirs I will forever treasure.

Three things: efficiency, skill, kindness. It's quality and speed in one while dealing with you with warmth. I immediately felt comfortable with them the moment I entered the shop. They did not rush me too. The makeup artist immediately knew how to style me and she single-handedly helped me dress up. It was a complex process but she managed to pull everything off showing she definitely knows what she's doing and she's an expert at it. In the process, she asks me from time to time if the fit is too tight but I understand kimonos should be adequately tight to secure everything in place. That is actually the reason I looked awesome the whole day and did not worry if I had to sit down. The receptionist established rapport with me making me feel comfortable with the process of picking the kimono and accessories. She was also transparent with additional costs for different kimonos and add-on services. 🌸🩷If there's a shop for kimono rental that I'd be back to, this would be the one!

They have a lot of options to choose from. If you want the more exquisite type of kimono or yukata, you have to pay extra. They have a studio where you are free to take pictures at.

Book it!! Book the yukata rental and book the photographer! It was worth every penny! The owner is the photographer and he did an incredible job with the pictures and even did a little retouching. I was shocked on the high quality of the photography and the staff was incredibly kind and so helpful. I opted to upgrade my Yukata as I wanted a better quality fabric but you cannot go wrong with any of them. It was an incredible and once in a lifetime experience.
