Abetemplet – Vandretur i SwayambhuNath
Swayambhunath Stupa, der ligger på en bakketop, er et helligt tempel af stor antikvitet og mystik i Kathmandu-dalen. Dens majestætiske hvide kuppel og glitrende gyldne spir er tydeligt synlige fra hvert hjørne af dalen.

Vores rejse begynder i Thamel og fører os til det berømte Indrayeni-tempel, der ligger ved bredden af Bishnumati-floden.
Derfra fortsætter vi til Shova Bhagawati-templet, endnu et bemærkelsesværdigt sted på vores vej.
Shova Bhagwati-templet er endnu et vigtigt helligdom på vejen til Swayambhunath. Her vil du støde på Ashta Matrikas (otte mødre) og Nava Durgas (ni Durgas), som er blandt de mest ærede gudinder i nepalesisk kultur.

One of the highlights of my time in Kathmandu, with incredible views over the valley. I highly recommend visiting with a guide, as there is a lot of detail and many shrines you might otherwise miss. Sandip was very patient and took the time to explain both Buddhist and Hindu concepts to me, which really added depth to the experience, as well as wider context about everyday life and culture in Nepal.
