Una joya este hotel. El diseño y decoración es un excelente ejemplo de la estética japonesa. Muy recomendable!!

Decoración minimalista, súper ordenado y limpio. Volvería con gusto!

We stayed three nights at The General Kyoto Bukkoji. This is quite literally one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The staff was warm and welcoming and went the extra mile to offer assistance/recommendations. The package we chose included breakfast, which was so delicious and abundant! With free snacks and drinks (including espresso), we were never hungry! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with cozy cotton pajamas that were changed out each day. The location was also perfect, with walking distance to Nijo Castle and Nishiki market. Tons of great dining options are also close by. We hope to stay here again sometime, if we ever make it back to Kyoto! This is our number one pick!

About 10 min walk from shops. The drier does take a long time to dry clothes, just be prepared and patient.

Good staff, attentive, really nice shower

Beautiful hotel. Great lounge and food. Friendly staff

Location is convenient and central to explore the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel in Kyoto. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless and welcoming. The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The location was perfect - so convenient for exploring the city yet peaceful when we wanted to relax. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. A special thank you to Mariko at reception, who helped us with our luggage transfer and went out of her way to be kind, attentive, and helpful - her warmth made us feel instantly at home. We also want to thank the wonderful gentleman at breakfast each morning. The breakfast itself was a highlight of our stay. The delicious dishes, fresh pastries, and beautifully presented plates were unforgettable, but it was his friendliness and care that made it even more memorable. We still miss those breakfasts! This was an amazing stay all around: the hotel, the people, the food, and the atmosphere. Thank you so much for making our time in Kyoto so special. We can’t wait to come back.

The lounge was a very peaceful place during our visit.

Excellent breakfast, helpful staff, safe, quiet, and convenient location.
